Why don't you like Grace Under Pressure? Just curious to hear why you don't. :) Seems like everyone fawns over it. but i just hate the style. i applaud em for branching but the style didn't suit Rush one bit. Whenever they play a grace song in concert.......i say this again!? lol Mick

I agree with you, but part of the reason that happened was the failure of the album in North America. They had a tour booked over here in some pretty big venues (arenas mostly), however tickets were selling at a snail's pace so the band pulled the plug, and stuck to Europe. Mike and Tony have stated over the years that after that happened, they didn't have the energy to keep on the album/tour/album/tour cycle to make it work, so they called it a day. Ray really did get the short end of the stick. And I love both eras of Genesis, they are my favourite band of all time, however I find myself listening to the Phil years more often. Did they go poppy? Yes, they did, but the quality of the songs is undeniable. Some overlooked gems on those latter-years Phil Genesis albums!! I'll say it again too. It's not like gabriel era didn't have pop in it, lol Mick

I rank it higher than Signals, PeW and Hems. 1. AFTK 2. HYF 3. MP 4. GUP 5. CoS 6. Presto Isanity. Pure insanity. LOL. But hey everyone has their own unique tastes and favorite era's. My top 5 has 3 you rank Presto ahead of LOL. 1. Permanent Waves 2. Hemispheres 3. Moving Pictures 4. Signals 5. Power Windows Where as I have COS and Presto near the very bottom. Very good top 5. only MP is down at about number 8 for sheer over play alone. Never got the AFTK love.......not relevant to your post......just sayin' lol Mick

For me it was over after the self titled 83 album. Never could Stand Invisible touch or WCD. But IT has Domino so i forgive it, lol. WCD Has.......um..........ah.....a long running time? lol Mick

CAS......Is a bit unfair. i'll tell ya why. Ray wilson was screwed early because they did a small tour and called it quits. We never got a chance to see how he would continue in the band. He wouldn't have surpassed Collins or even Gabriel but it could have been interesting. Just IMO Mick

Not what you'd think i'd Say but Power Windows get's it. Love the other two but HYF ruins it's perfect Streak with High water and Tai Shan and presto is Awesome but takes a serious blow with Superconductor and Hand over Fist. Power Windows also has crackling energy I love. And Middletown Dreams has been kicking my ass recently. Mick

Funny thing......gabriel never blew me away in the band. I started his solo career. It was like.........WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED??!!! lol something clicked with this guy after he quit the group. 4 perfect albums in a row........after Genesis, lol Mick
