  1. QUOTE (Jomboni @ Sep 10 2012, 12:14 PM) Don't they start a certain instrumental in the first set with a little bass solo? They sure do and it's fantastic and short!
  2. QUOTE (ReGorLaTroy @ Sep 10 2012, 12:07 PM) Kent, Can you please take the day off from work or school and get back to work on this? You can eat, sleep, shower, watch TV, check your e-mail & Facebook, exercise, see your family and friends when you are finished young man! Thanks in advance. Signed, all of us here. OK, well maybe not everyone, but at least me and the good Doctor Birdsong I actually got I think food poisoning(was vomiting this moring) didn't go to school and off work til Wednesday! hahaha! I'm back to work now!
  3. QUOTE (drbirdsong @ Sep 10 2012, 09:16 AM) I'm just bumping to try to keep this thread on the first page because too many crybabies keep starting threads. Geez could we put on Xanadu pass out some Xanax please. Don't worry guys i'm still working. Last night I tried uploading the first CD to mediafire, and even after paying the money to upgrade to pro, it wouldn't let me do it, I asked for a refund and even after using their service for only 3 hours they said NO. So I've switched over to Dropbox(bit slower more reliable) used them before happy with it. So it's uploading FLAC files now, I'm transferring the .wav files to mp3 got a couple request to do so, and I'm still updating the sound cloud along with the fact it will be on grooveshark soon, don't worry folks I'm still working on it. Didn't expect all the interest, and I'm glad you're happy with my hobby. It's labor of love! Working on Manhattan Project now. http://i.imgur.com/IKiS2.jpg
  4. QUOTE (quantex @ Sep 10 2012, 11:46 AM) Well...this was suposed to be the free formed tour with alot of branching out. Why is it that Geddy never does a 5 min solo of some sort? Driven solos do not count. They are annoying, and I'm a bass player, solos are just annoying anything over 45 seconds really annoys me, I'd rather them play Tom Sawyer again than any other solos.
  5. QUOTE (Mr. IsNot @ Sep 8 2012, 02:54 AM) QUOTE (Astroboy2112 @ Sep 7 2012, 10:27 PM) You guys need to stop this CA sounds like Rush doesn't care about sound anymore crap. CA sounds the way that it was meant to sound. Rush obviously heard Nick's work on coheed and cambria, stone sour, foo fighters, Deftones, Trivium, etc etc You guys clearly haven't! Otherwise you'll realize that those records sound like CA does!! They wanted that KICK ASS loud sound because CA is a KICK ASS album. Get it? Source? and fwiw I'm a big Coheed fan. Coheed f***ing rules I'm seeing them in two weeks in Rochester and then a month later in Cleveland.
  6. Middletown Dreams is the best Rush song period so I'm so f*ckin stoked to see it, I'll be at the Buffalo and Cleveland show just so I can be sure to see it.
  7. Editing set 2 just messing with same equalizers and eliminating Clapping guy, Geddy's voice is definitely not as good here and Al messes up quite a bit Neil misses his part in Halo Effect. SO I'm trying to figure out how to make everything sound good

  18. QUOTE (Mr. IsNot @ Sep 9 2012, 04:28 PM) QUOTE (kentpilot @ Sep 9 2012, 01:23 PM) QUOTE (Mr. IsNot @ Sep 9 2012, 02:55 PM) Download available yet? Or did I miss it? And no need for a PM either, I'll just check in here. I, as someone who isn't able to pay to see any show this year (budget priorities) greatly appreciate that you're doing this. 19. QUOTE (Gilbertk @ Sep 9 2012, 02:31 PM) Some of the people around here won't be happy until it's: ---Set 1 The Spirit of Radio Freewill Jacob's Ladder Entre Nous Different Strings Natural Science By-Tor and the Snow Dog Fly By Night In the End Anthm ---Set 2 Bastille Day I Think I'm Going Bald Lakeside Park The Necromancer (ok.. this would make me mighty happy too) The Fountain of Lamneth A Farewell to Kings Xanadu Closer to the Heart Cinderella Man Madrigal Cygnus X-1 Hemispheres ---Encore 2112 (Full) That includes the full albums of PW, CoS and AFtK, and people would still complain that they played TSoR which they'll say they play too much.. Some people will never be happy... Edit: Just saying, this set is just at 3 hours. Knock out maybe Madrigal and Closer to the Heart and also forget about a drum solo and this would be possible set (depending on Geddy's ability to sing this) Awful setlist, I'd go watch it but I'd pay more to see the one they are playing right now.
  20. QUOTE (sdhonda @ Sep 9 2012, 03:24 PM) QUOTE (fugazi @ Sep 9 2012, 02:28 PM) Born in 1970 so similar age to orginal poster, and I say Power Windows is one of the best albums - was the one that got me into Rush anyway. Marathon was played on a UK BBC show called No Limits with lovely Jenny Powell every other week. Accept it may have been better for more mix of albums, but dont they normally change set list as they go along? Most bands dont play exact same every night knowing fans may go to more than 1 show on a tour. Except that Rush isn't like most bands, and can and will play the same song every night if they feel like it. The difference between the first night of the Time Machine Tour and the final night? The Cygnus X-1 riff at the very very end was added at some point int he tour. That was it. They also did the same show every night on the R30 tour. Part of it has to do with the complex nature of their stage production. That said, they do sometimes change things up a bit, and there is a rumored "b" list. We'll find out tonight I guess. They also added a Jam section to Closer to the Heart, Extended the bass solo in Leave that thing Alone. Extended the solo in Marathon(more guitar and more keys)
  21. QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Sep 8 2012, 06:15 AM) It was WAY too much "keyboard era" stuff for me, and I'm about the same age as the OP. I don't know what possessed the boys to create such a lopsided list. Most the songs are from 1982-1991. Having got that out of their system, how about next tour they completely OMIT that era and only play 1974-1981 songs? I'd rather them omit 1974-1985 and songs from the amazing Hold Your Fire PRESTO(my favorite album, with Power Windows in second) Roll The Bones Counterparts LOTS OF TEST 4 ECHO Vapor Trails (even if it's just the title track) Some snakes and arrows (We Hold On, Good News First, MalNar, Faithless, Spindrift) Clockwork Angels! LOTS OF IT! And play Middletown Dreams again
