  1. QUOTE (laughedatbytime @ Jun 17 2012, 09:00 PM) Freewill, TCE, Working Man, Necromancer in addition to those already named just off the top of my head Red Barchetta!
  2. QUOTE (rushfan27 @ Jun 17 2012, 08:51 PM) Is alex's solo in the garden the best guitar solo he's ever had? Probably not the best. But it is for sure in the top 5 for me.
  3. Jim Carrey.
  4. Random depressing fact....Thanks for that?
  5. QUOTE (RUSHHEAD666 @ Jun 16 2012, 01:34 AM) Sorry to be a big broken record on here lately. I guess Jim could ban me for being annoying. I know I ripped this new record many days ago but that was foolish. I am NOT being a lame labeled drunk right now either. I seriously can't get enough of "The Garden" either. I feel like a teen-ager again listening to this song and "The Wreckers." I loved "Snakes & Arrows!" My review is still on this Forum from many moons ago!!! It doesn't matter now. "Clockwork Angels" has infected me like the plague. I'm addicted and I need help. I was wrong for my first thread based on this album. It's EPIC, it's METAL and it's BEAUTIFUL. "ALBUM OF THE YEAR" for sure. Thanks for all of you for dealing with me over the years! I love most of you one here! As for the idiots who don't know me at all well, hey, lighten up and move on. Life is short and I intend to see Rush as much as I can before they call it the day. It's my thing. It's what I do. It's what I choose to spend my money on. Love, "FREEWILL" There you go! Congrats on loving such an amazing record.
  6. QUOTE (CrossedSignals @ Jun 16 2012, 03:54 AM) Hey MSTies, check out this AWESOME site, The Annotated MST ! It explains every reference from almost every episode! (Amazing!) It looks like they're adding new episodes on a pretty regular basis too, working towards a complete collection. This is perfect for those times Tom drops an obscure literary reference or Crow mentions some obscure character actor from the 70s! Thank you! I've stumbled across this website before but I completely forgot the link. It's terrible for me understanding most of their jokes. I always have to have my dad explain it.

  8. QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Jun 15 2012, 06:04 PM) You may remember Sebastian Bach's take on 2112: "Well, I was into the STORY." I was, too. Heck, weren't we all? I find I'm now getting into the STORY of Clockwork Angels (along with all that great music), thanks to multiple listens, Neil's explanation of the story to Jim Ladd, and my own peicing-together of its meaning. The novel will only further this. Just wanted to share. Same exact thing for me. Even with 2112. I get so immersed into the story that it's almost like the character is my friend. And especially in 2112 where he commits suicide, it kind of hits me hard. The music behind the story gives it so much emotion. It's quite brilliant.
  9. There's something about Halo Effect that I almost always skip that song. I should stop doing that. I don't know, the song hasn't clicked for me like all the other ones, yet.
  10. QUOTE (XXXB0BXXX @ Jun 15 2012, 04:58 PM) I'm sorry Hemispheres, but the Pink Floyd-esque BU2B2 is a better way to spend 2 minutes than the atmosphere in the middle of Hemisphere's title track. Now, I wouldn't say this is my favorite Rush album, but I sincerely love every second of it. I haven't felt like this about a Rush album since The Camera Eye started boring me with it's second half.
  11. QUOTE (trenken @ Jun 15 2012, 04:30 PM) The obvious answer is BU2B2. You can always get a good head-bangin' from that song.
  12. QUOTE (bigman208 @ Jun 15 2012, 09:50 AM) QUOTE (ShlappinDahBass @ Jun 15 2012, 09:41 AM) OH MY GOSHHH WATCH THIS. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKVJicTW9rc&feature=related Amazing quality! 2 in a half hour concert! ALL of Dark Side of the Moon! RUN LIKE HELL. This is the Pulse show that was released on DVD a few years back. Great show!! It was! I only wish I could've been there! I envy all of those who attended. Looked like quite an experience.
  13. QUOTE (EmotionDetector @ Jun 15 2012, 10:59 AM) QUOTE (GeminiRising79 @ Jun 15 2012, 11:36 AM) I found Counterparts depressing and uncharacteristically Rush I found Moving Pictures to be completely uninspired and tirelessly boring. I found 2112 to be too poppy and completely insignifcant.
  14. QUOTE (zappafrank @ Jun 15 2012, 03:08 PM) Carry on! Who?
  15. QUOTE (iglehart @ Jun 15 2012, 12:52 PM) Just wait for the book to come out! You never know! The book might even leave us with more questions than answers. I like guessing the deepness and poetry of the humble Peart.

  17. QUOTE (Rush Cocky @ Jun 15 2012, 10:42 AM) This song is definitely the one that is most in my head when I'm not actually listening to the album. That keyboard behind when Geddy is shredding the bass (e.g. 2:52 to 3:05) is flat AWESOME. This song is just FLAT awesome!!

  19. QUOTE (ScottT67 @ Jun 15 2012, 09:25 AM) "Sometimes a memory can be too much to carry. Striking down like a bolt from the blue." Dedicated to the future, with respect to the past! Onward, our intrepid Professor!!! Aaaah, yes. I love this.
  20. QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Jun 15 2012, 09:19 AM) QUOTE (ShlappinDahBass @ Jun 14 2012, 05:07 PM) By the way, Ged. Where did you get the video from you're using for your avatar? It's hilarious. Thanks. I get a lot of positive comments on it. I periodically use it as my avatar, then retire it for awhile, and then bring it out again... to fresh applause. Unfortunately I don't know the true source, but a co-worker/friend shared it with me on MySpace a few years back, adding her comment "I don't know why, but the kid in the red shirt reminds me of Geddy Lee." When I first used it here, some TRF members assumed the two boys were my sons. They're not. Haha, I love it. I don't see the resemblance of Ged to the kid except for the glasses! Still a hilarious video, though.
  21. One of my first times listening to Marathon's chorus...I thought it said "From farts to last" .....Wow, that completely ruined my whole entire experience for that song for a LONG time.
  22. I thought having an orchestra was pretty experimental..
