QUOTE (marblesmike @ Jun 12 2012, 07:08 PM) For the record I love the album; I just wish it didn't give me a headache every time I want to crank it :-) But it's your favourite headache right?

Great thread... because I just got very depressed from my Brother recently who didn't like his first listen of CA.... and said that he prefered S&A...

Well, even if I didn't like the artwork, I'd still listen to it, so no worries there..! you'd listen to the artwork? thats a nifty trick Yeah, pictures can say a lot of things. You mean to tell me you've never heard any talk to you before?
  15. QUOTE (Unobtrusive Companion @ Jun 8 2012, 06:57 AM) QUOTE (GuggsDeWar @ Jun 8 2012, 12:53 PM) Ordered mine via myfavouritemagazines .co.uk on 11th April and just received an e-mail today that it is "on it's way" Seems that the postage is a bit erratic to say the least.Anyhoo will just have to be patient.Another 2 or 3 days wait won't be too much .I wait with baited breath Ah! A mainland UK resident! This is progress, looks like we're getting the dispatch emails now. Good news! Got that email -Finally- too!! I cannae wait to get it!
  16. QUOTE (ColdFireYYZ @ Jun 8 2012, 05:58 PM) I love his work with Genesis but the only solo album I have is Please Don't Touch. I'll have to delve deeper into his solo work. Please do!!!! great to see Hackett fans around TRF too
  17. Loved it! I actually think -exactly- the same way about basically everything you've written
  18. checking out that link! Thanks so much!
  19. Fav Hackett album: It actually has to be Beyond the Shrouded Horizon. He's outdone himself soooo much. in terms of classics, then probably Spectral Mornings hehe. with Genesis: SEBTP.
  20. Any Steve Hackett fans out there? (well there surely must be I spot a 'Squackett' thread) His music has to be in my top 6. His guitar sears through my skull and straight into my spirit, and he, like Rush NEVER seems to stop!!! He is ageless! His most recent album, Beyond the Shrouded Horizon (his 25th studio album if you include his Genesis stuff)was SPECTACULAR. He has just done an album with Chris Squire from yes, called 'Squackett' ( ) and it sounds not bad at all , very relaxed. Heard someone coin it as "light prog". So, who else will join in with me in praise of the Hackett maestro? Xanaseb
  21. QUOTE (Steely Caress @ Jun 7 2012, 08:22 PM) ordered mine in April and it arrived today)))!! Classic Rock did a great job with this! Too bad there are no magazines in the USA this cool! UK => Rocks simple as.
  22. QUOTE (SchemingDemon @ Jun 7 2012, 07:16 PM) I can't get enough of the killer bass line in The Anarchist! I was blaring it in the car this morning and I felt like it came through the speakers and just smacked me in the face I compleeeeeeeeetely agree! The Anarchist bass line and chord progression in the chorus/post chorus bit is an absolute CLASSIC
  23. QUOTE (vprtrls @ Jun 7 2012, 02:39 PM) I'm so lucky, I am picking up my vinyl copy today after work here in SE Michigan (a special connection at an old school record store). I was getting weak and almost ready to break down and listen to the stream. I will give the album a spin tonight and report back tomorrow where the breaks are. Can't wait to see the artwork and feel the 180 gram LPs. I heard it is a gatefold cover. Who knows what surprises lurk within. WoW you're one lucky person. Great will-power there! I still haven't listened to the tracks from BU2B-->The Garden, so that's my tincy consolation lol, that I have -no- idea what The Garden'll sound like.
