  1. QUOTE (D3strukt @ Apr 30 2011, 09:32 PM) QUOTE (Oracle @ Apr 30 2011, 09:17 PM) QUOTE (D3strukt @ Apr 30 2011, 10:08 PM) For some reason, Red Sector A is f*cked up on my BD release. It sounds horrible, yet the one on S&AL (that they released with the 4gb stick) sounds awesome Did you check the disc for scratches? Blu-Rays scratch very easily and are hard to detect. I would love to see the missing songs put on CD. Show definitely doesn't feel right listening to/watching it all the way through. I mean, like the sound quality sucks. Like the mix isn't there. (It plays fine on all other songs.) Its like listening to 5.1 on 2 ch system. (already checked the mix. was on PCM) I did notice the sound was a little weird on that song... like the drums and keyboard are way back in the mix or something
  2. I have the Blu-Ray that features the entire show, but I'd love to have these missing songs on CD as well. There are some killer versions of songs on there, like Secret Touch and La Villa.
  3. I don't think the 97 remaster is loud at all... in fact the 97 Rush remasters are probably some of the quietest CDs I own. Most every rock CD produced after 2000 is way louder.

how did you get Caravan on vinyl?
  5. QUOTE (Derv @ Apr 30 2011, 03:26 AM) QUOTE (SeamusWiles @ Apr 30 2011, 12:33 AM)U2 should open for them Yes, open the door of their limo when they arrive at the arena.
  6. every time I hear Geddy singing "it's a faaar cryyy from the WUURRRLLLD" I want to
  7. QUOTE (moving_signals @ Apr 30 2011, 10:23 AM) I don't understand what people like about One Little Victory. I really don't like Geddy's vocals on it, and it really sounds like all three of them are forcing it to me. I've always disliked the way they revive it when it should be over too. Far Cry isn't on par with the finest Rush but it's way better than One Little Victory. Also, One Little Victory is one of the few songs where my feelings on it didn't improve hearing it live, which to me is where Rush songs truly come alive. I feel the same way about Far Cry. It sounds like they were "phoning it in" on that entire album. I honestly don't understand how any Rush fan can like S&A
  8. There are MUCH better songs on T4E... Driven, Time and Motion, Limbo
  9. I do have one important question... do we finally hear what's actually being said during The Camera Eye? (mornin' guv)
  10. QUOTE (Scars @ Apr 30 2011, 12:19 AM) By what basis are these songs being compared? Are you trying to insist that OLV is underrated and Far Cry is overrated? Seems like a random comparison. EDIT: Far Cry is better I think Far Cry is HIGHLY overrated, but that's just my opinion. It ranks up there with Dog Years for me. I remember before S&A came out and they teased us with that "Hemispheres chord" in the opening, I was all excited... but then the actual song came out and I was underwhelmed. It isn't that random, they're both album openers for the two most recent albums.
  11. I predict after the CA tour, they'll take 2-3 years off and go on tour again.
  12. we're only human, it's not ours to understand
  13. QUOTE (Oracle @ Apr 29 2011, 10:22 PM) QUOTE (circumstantial tree @ Apr 29 2011, 10:08 PM) http://twitpic.com/4r3mes The Royal Blowjob someone needs to tell her that's not how to produce an heir...
  14. QUOTE (D3strukt @ Apr 29 2011, 10:09 PM) Err, well i'd post it in SOCN. But really, If people get that pissed about beliefs and all that stuff. Eh what the hell. Permission to post in SOCN? Also, it is a system that my friend and I have been thinking up over the past 6 years. you can't make up your OWN belief system, you're supposed to accept what others tell you! weren't you "brought up to believe"??
  15. most of S&A is a "far cry" from the great music Rush used to make. Although Caravan & BU2B seem to be a step in the right direction.
  16. QUOTE (ReRushed @ Apr 29 2011, 09:06 PM) I like both songs. I think "Far Cry" is more melodic and it has a great chorus, one of Rush's best. So, I think you're wrong!
  17. SeamusWiles

    OLV > Far Cry

One Little Victory is such a superior song it isn't even fair. It's like comparing Moving Pictures and Presto.
  18. QUOTE (Ancient Ways @ Apr 29 2011, 08:19 PM) I'm guessing they would make him their bitch. The wild card is whether or not Ricky and Julian would get sent to prison to help him. I dunno about that... Neil may come off as sort of a wuss, but he's a pretty big guy.
  19. QUOTE (IChoseFreeWill @ Apr 29 2011, 07:34 PM) I think all 3 of them dislike the concept of royalty, wish monarchy would disappear, and believe all leaders should be democratically elected. oh really? they told you this did they?
  20. QUOTE (Jaye @ Apr 29 2011, 02:11 PM) QUOTE (Mara @ Apr 29 2011, 07:06 PM)QUOTE (Jaye @ Apr 29 2011, 03:05 PM) QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Apr 29 2011, 06:51 PM)and it reminds me of how most every little girl dreams of being a princess. Excuse me a minute... Sorry about that. She did say most every little girl. But I'm right there with ya. I was always too much of a tomboy to have any time for that Princess shit. I was too. I was into bugs, climbing and (of course) bikes. Still am for the most part - I just spent about five minutes watching a bee preening itself. I know GG said "most", but even that makes me feel a bit like throwing up... what is it with women being so tom-boyish these days? aren't there any girly-girls left?
  21. Rush playing Westminster Abbey would be epic
