    Geddy Solo

I've always been curious about it, guess I will have to listen to it. I would probably love anything that Geddy does
  4. I only saw it once during the Olympics so far, seen other versions of it with other music. Maybe they have already asked them to pull it? I prefer companies that sell more made in USA products and who pay their employees enough to get insurance rather than tell them to apply for assistance, :sigh: just IMHO
  5. Celebrate the moment, As it turns into one more, Another chance at victory, Another chance to score The way out, Is the way in, The way out, Is the way in... All my life I've been workin' them angels overtime One day I feel I'm on top of the world, And the next it's falling in on me, I can get back on, I can get back on
  6. Since my birthday is July 16 I see no problem with my husband saying on July 17th lets go out to dinner. Then I get to go out two nights in a row!!! :D-13: I'm with crimson frippy 'cause the 17th is my birthday.... . I'm also in agreement with Gangsterfurious, if your gal thinks it is important, then it is important. Previous spouse used the excuse not to buy me flowers because I worked in a florist shop...you must be tired of them..well NO. As time has gone by, I don't mind if I don't get flowers on Valentine because I know my hubby gives me lots of things throughout the rest of the year (as others spoke of here). I think I wanted flowers so badly from my ex because I wasn't sure he really loved me and I needed a demonstration through a public gesture. When I was divorced, I bought them for myself and had them sent to my work. It was fun to have my co-workers wondering who sent them.
  7. Good scene, but "the best" I dunno. So many excellent scenes in the series that could challenge such a claim . . . As for Sheridan/Sinclair, from my point of view, I thought the series really took off once Sheridan replaced Sinclair. Bruce Boxleitner's Sheridan is one of my favorite sci-fi characters of all time, maybe THE favorite. Can't think of any other Sci-Fi characters that I liked more atm. Sure. That's why I said "IMO". A couple of scenes that could challenge it both come from Susan Ivanova - "I am God" (from season 1) and "I am Death incarnate" (from, I think, season 4), the former for funsies, and the latter for seriousness. There are also a couple of other Delenn scenes that are good, several G'Kar and Vir scenes, and even a couple of Londo scenes. *I* just happen to think that Delenn's "Be somewhere else" is the best. I'm not going to argue about something so subjective. EDIT: BTW, anyone can search YouTube using those quoted bits to find the Ivanova scenes. I'm not going to hog the thread by posting a crapton of videos. We all have our favorites, I am just glad to have people talk about it again. Babylon 5 is sooo good
  8. Don't remember it. Post video please. I didn't remember the clip that Jack Aubrey posted about G'kar cutting his own hand in front of Vir either. But it sure was nice to see it again, to remind me of an awesome scene from this awesome series. Good stuff. Post more videos. Sucks that the series isn't being shown anywhere that I can access, and hasn't for a long time. It is quite the ending to the season.. spoilers if you haven't gone all the way through #3... For those who would like to see B5 on tv again, check out Free Babylon 5 on facebook.
  9. Well it was a watershed moment in our culture and music. These 4 moptops were dismissed by the press here at large and then got hit by a "youthquake" and it did change our future. Since we just had an anniversary for the death of JFK, I think it was a counterpoint to that. The country was depressed and here came these guys with their long hair and acerbic wit and just charmed the pants off everyone(me included :kisshug: ) I don't think Paul could make CBS do this on his own but who knows. As to Sean...he gives me a pain and I imagine Yoko had something to do with his "look" . I just feel bad for Julian who is more like John IMHO but he chose to stay away from it, he's into photography so I think he did a pictorial to commemorate the anniversary. I do want to see it so hope I get the chance eventually.
  10. Did anyone watch? I missed it and the replay because I was lost in Olympics coverage...damn . Heard it was better than expected. Now I just have to hope there will be a dvd
  11. This is a such a cool kickass scene for Delenn. And you're not the only one who prefers Sheridan, I do too. This is a great scene! Love this show...I am going to have to have a marathon as soon as the Olympics are over. JMS is a great storyteller All hail the Great Maker :D
  12. You were born the same year as Super Bowl 1! You're still a young one Have a very Happy Birthday!! :D :yay:
  13. I am afraid that window has passed, with the actors who played Franklin, G'Kar, Zathras (among others) going to The Rim :sigh: It was rumored that a movie was in the works in the early 90's but after all the trouble JMS had with Warner Bros over his copyrights it just didn't happen :(
  14. I agree with you. I don't get the Sheridan hating. I loved his character. Imo, Bablyon 5 is the best sci fi series ever made. It starts off slow and not so great in the first season, but then really picks up from there. Agreed. I;m not a huge sci fi fan, but my Brother in law loaned me the series when I was recoverin' from my first back surgery. He insisted that I'd love it and used a term for it I'd never heard before. He called it "military science fiction". Well, that intrigued the heck out of me so I watched it and immediately watched it again to pick up on all the subtext I missed the first time. Great, great series. Just magical. PS: I liked both Sheridan and Sinclair. Almost forgot: I own a replica Earth Alliance pin that my Brother in law got for me at a sci fi convention and gave to me as a birthday present. I am so glad to see folks giving some love to this series, it has always been underated IMHO. There is a group of fans trying to get it shown on cable again, Free Babylon 5 on facebook is one of the ways to find out about it. They managed to get a channel in the U.K. to begin it again so there is hope. p.s. I have a couple of the Ranger pins which are cool too. :D
  15. Not to scare you but blood clots are another side effect some women have (I had an incident over 10 years ago ). I think it very possible the Pill is contributing to your depression. Just be careful when you change methods, some accidents happen because your cycles can be a bit messed up by the pill. talk to your gyncologist and good luck
  16. That's the season Marcus shows up and things get dicey with the Shadows. Enjoy yourself, faith manages
  17. Hope it is a happy one, I enjoy your siggies too, especially the Clockwork Rush one :D Best wishes p.s. from one library worker to another
  18. Well I am a big Babylon 5 fan :D Look at my avatar and that's Lyta, a telepath from the show and I absolutely adored Marcus  I found the story arc very involved and thought provoking. I began watching when TNT picked it up the 80's and recorded all the episodes. I too found the change from Sinclair to Sheridan a bit jarring but his character grew on me. I just picked up a couple more of the season sets with my Christmas gift certificates. I have been thinking it is time to watch it again, I see something new each time I watch. Thank the great Maker for such great show
  19. What has been seen cannot be unseen....glad I didn't open this
