Seeing them live for the first time with my older brother and mother. It was really the experience that awakend me to their music. I came home that night and my dad had to ask my Mom, "What's got into him?" as I was jamin my stereoand playin air drums to Tom Sawyer when we got back to the house after the show.

  1. I say Countdown and add the dedication to Neil Armstrong for that song. It was written about a shuttle launch so I like the fit.
  2. Standing all over at the St. Louis show. However, I think next time I'm getting seats on the side unless I can get a bit closer on the floor. Hard to see over everybody. Also, people are holding their phones up for entire songs to get video and they don't realize that they are holding them right in front of the person behind them. Was getting a little annoyed.
  3. Believe it or not I have often felt the same way after seeing my favorite acts. Sometimes I attribute it to the fact that I'll have to wait so long to see them again. Ya know we get all excited and the anticipation grows as you near the show date and then it's over and you are back to the grind. I play music and it also reminds me that I'd rather be doing that but I'm not. But we just have to get over it. Definitely won't stop me from going to the shows though. That would be more depressing to know that I could have gone but missed it.
  4. I was able to google the set list before I went and was super happy about what they played. I've heard the early stuff played so much that I was happy to hear these songs. Oh, and they don't owe you a thing. Like someone else said, worst kind of fan.
  5. Check your ticket. They usually post something on it regarding what you can't bring in. But I seriously doubt DSLRs are allowed.
  6. My brother turned me on to them back in the mid eighties with Moving Pictures. I then got a copy of A Show of Hands and can vividly remember riding in the car with my bro and parents on our way to friends for a party and was completely into it. Strangely enough, I really got into Power Windows and it's still a huge favorite of mine still today. I had to go back and listen to their earlier catalog to learn the history. Obviously there were some changes in the style from PW backwards and forwards but I ended up loving all of it.
  7. Shreddy, just keep trying to learn by ear. The more you do this the better you will get. We know its hard and frustrating but you'll get better from all that stuff. Ear training just takes a lot of practice and time. See how much you can get by ear and then check the tabs once they get posted. Hang in there, j.
  8. Both sites were down but I kept trying on the both and finally got a copy of the silver from the ECW site. The gold was still available form the Rush site last I looked but is just a bit too pricey for me. Loved the fact that I did get a silver though!! Happy hunting.
  9. This is downtown Nashville on a Sunday. Shouldn't be a problem. Like the post above there are many places to park within walking distance. I go to shows at the Ryman, Wildhorse and the arena pretty regularly and never have a problem finding a garage or lot.
  10. I'm putting in my vote for middle town dreams. However, when I saw them back in august and heard Presto, I went back to that album and totally got back into it. The Pass, Scars, Presto, and Show don't tell are just awesome. I like the rest of the album as well but the above just stuck out to me.
  11. Just ordered the package and got 11th row center. Stoked. Saw this show back in august in St. Louis. Looking forward to another night of jam.
  12. They played Presto back in August when I saw the Time Machine tour and loved it that it got on the list but I would love to see Scars, Red Tide, Superconductor, Show Me Don't Tell Me or the Pass. All of those are great cuts and that album has been on my playlist since I saw the show. It has become one of my favorites from them.
  13. Power Windows is one of my favorite albums. This was the era that I became a fan. I can remember sitting up all night trying to learn the bass line to this song. I eventually got it and could play it pretty close to note for note by morning. It was a big achievement then and still is today to be able to play that and other songs off this album. I too would love to see this song played live.
