  1. I am one of the lucky ones, my GF loves Rush and went to both legs of the TM tour with my 18yr old son and I. He is a HUGE fan, no rap or emo in our car ever!! Geddycorn = A rare, beautiful, mythical creature that loves Rush.
  2. QUOTE (danielmclark @ Dec 2 2011, 05:24 PM)I have a tremendous amount of respect for them for working this way, actually. My other favorite band is The Cure. The stuff they put out as B-Sides and unreleased songs on stuff like Join the Dots and the special edition re-releases of the studio albums is (for the most part) terrible. There are a few (out of hundreds) really standout songs that make you wonder why they weren't on the record, but Smith is putting out whole discs of pre-demo demos. Like, not even the band, just him noodling around with some instruments making noise. I can't tell you how happy I am that Rush doesn't do that. I don't know, I would love to hear some tracks of the guys just noodling around. Not finished songs maybe, but just jamming? Hell yeah. Malignant Narcissism started out as just Geddy fooling around in the studio with a borrowed bass. So you never know.
  3. In fact Neil and Alex have just been phoning it in for the last couple of tours too.
  4. These tracks are rips of the audio files from the Rock Band and Guitar Hero video games. They are not THE actual tracks from a master tape. The masters were provided to the game makers. There are tons of these on the net. All of MP is available. Check the Making Modern Music section and do a search. Check 'em out .... they are awesome!!! Lots of fun to jam to if you are merely a player.

    Easiest Rush Song

New World Man is pretty easy, and no solo TS would fall in the middle of the list maybe.

  7. Actually I have a friend who's brother is the main soundguy for the sound company they and all the big bands use and he got passes for the last couple of tours. He has actually stood behind Neil's kit etc, and has met the guys several times. Not just a meet and greet pass. I have tried to score some passes from him in the past but they always go to the guys in whatever band he is playing in at the moment. But the worst part is that some of the guys that get the passes aren't really fans of the band, but when they get a pass suddenly they are fan #1 Maybe for this tour i will get lucky since they were just here last summer and maybe the 'fans' won't care this time around. I will let you guys know if I can score some this time!! Enjoy the show anyway!!!!!!!
  8. QUOTE (Mr. Krinkle @ Feb 4 2011, 10:27 AM) Fill up your gas tank BEFORE the show so you can just get the hell away from there ASAP afterwards. That is some good advice. Reminds me of going to shows in Oakland, Ca. Enjoy the seats!!!!
  9. QUOTE (apetersvt @ Jan 26 2011, 05:28 PM) QUOTE (stdio @ Jan 25 2011, 02:40 PM) Just scored 3 tickets row E right in the middle of 1 section at the Concord show!! And only $135 each plus fees Best tickets i have ever had to Rush!!! Fan presale is the way to go!! Best of luck to all!!! only $135 I guess I should consider myself lucky to have seen the band for $17 (HYF). Unless the setlist changes, I can't see myself shelling out serious cash to see the same show I already saw. Well the $135 part was laced with sarcasm...... just glad to have good seats. My buddy has a stub for a $12 show he went to. Gas to the show costs more now........... and the beers
