  1. If all goes as planned I'll be road tripping from SLC to Vegas this year. We might turn it into a big trip and continue down to California.
  2. I'm gonna remain hopeful that they'll change that. Come on, have they ever ever done a two leg tour swapping out ZERO songs between legs? Either way, I'm gonna VEGAS it up June 24th.
  3. While I am suprised you consider P/G "one of Rush's best albums" I have enjoyed all your reviews, and the best of best (in your opinion) are what's left. I liked your take on Cold Fire. I didn't really "get" that song when I first got Counterparts, but it grew on me. A lot of Rush ends up "growing" on me.
  4. It's a beach ball. There are Over 9,000 people at the show and At Least 100 beach balls, so they're not gonna be coming to you that often. In fact, at the show they played Last Thursday I didn't see any. The people getting drunk before the end of the first set are more annoying, but also more hilarious.

For anyone who has seen shows at USANA and MGM Grand, how do the seats compare between the two? Cheapest seat at MGM is 56 dollars and it looks like its in the back back. Is it that far, or is it closer than the lawn seating at USANA? I was at the very front of the lawn at USANA, and i'd like to be a little closer. . I agree, I wanna go to Rush @ Vegas this year and It'd be super cool if someone would answer this question If this helps ... last time they were in town we had the "cheap" seats in one of the pie shaped sections in the back corner if that makes sense. The concert was awesome and I can't imagine having felt different about it if I had been in the more expensive seats. Everyone else sitting around us felt the same and the only thing that could have possibly ruined it was the drunk guy in front of us doing choreography to 2112 - that's the kind of stuff you can't control. Don't know if this helps since I haven't been to USANA, but ...? Thanks! I just wanted to see if I could get away with cheapo seats without being disappointed and unable to see the band.

    Best Lyrics?

I'm going with Ghost Rider Secret Touch Entre Nous Red Barchetta Heresy The Spirit Of Radio Freeze Vapor Trail Armor and Sword Lots of Vapor Trails, which lyrically is an amazing album. It would be a top pick of mine to hear live. Just leave out Stars Look Down How It Is, and Peaceable Kingdom.

People must hate those songs by now. it's not possible because of them announcing they were playing mp in it's entirety. it's the selling point to put bodies in the seats. you don't think it's helping? the only album the casual rush fan knows is mp.

  15. I'm 18, and saw a decent amount of 8-12 year olds at USANA in August. You WILL smell pot, but if that doesn't bother you, people aren't that outrageous.
  16. Shiiit didn't think tickets would be that much. That's much pricier than USANA was. Although i was on the lawn at USANA haha
  17. QUOTE (ericplayzbass @ Jan 24 2011, 03:16 PM) i would buy a ticket (bought 2 already tho) if they dropped MP and did perm waves instead. a far better album. If there's any other chance at a full length album showing up at concert, It's Permanent Waves. Entre Nous sounded good when they played it, the whole album is gold and Geddy can still sing it. Possibly next tour, although that would be weird with promoting Clockwork Angels. f**k it play them both and a couple other songs. Now that's a show.
  18. What a shitty situation. I am sorry that some chode selling tickets did that to you. Best of luck.

For instance, I definitely would rather listen to most of Power Windows before most of Vapor Trails, and my list reflects that. Correct correction: I find GBR's details behind his ranking more coherent than yours most of the time... Are you done attacking Deckiller or what? Guys guys other than Deckiller flaking out on his own project for two months both these lists are going great, and I enjoy reading both of them. That third list by that other guy though...
  20. I don't think there's anything stopping Time Stand Still from being dropped. I would HATE to see it dropped, but Geddy does seem to have an issue singing it correctly. I just hope there are some changes to keep it fresh. I don't wanna pay twice for the same show. They have to be slightly different.
  21. Me and three total bro's will be road trippin down from SLC to Vegas in my Accord going 100 the whole way to see this grand show. +4
  22. QUOTE (StanGetz @ Jan 22 2011, 03:17 AM) QUOTE (That One Guy @ Jan 20 2011, 01:44 AM) No Red Rocks? I'm baffled. I guess it'll be off to Vegas. Is the MGM Grand a good venue? Anyone been there? I've seen four Rush shows at the MGM and I like it. There is one thing you should consider regarding floor seats. If you aren't very tall then you need floor tickets in the upfront sections. Otherwise, seats on the side would most likely be better. I am 6'2" so people won't be obstructing my view. Do getting seats on the side have a price advantage of some sort? What can i expect to pay for a decent seat there? I'm just looking at close enough to be able to see them without the monitor.
  23. I'm suprised he stopped doing them as of late. It's not like they're hard to perform.
