  1. I think the song is good. Though JLB's vocals could be better and (maybe) the intro could be shorter. I felt that JR's keys were too prominent at times. However, I am still really looking forward to this album.
  2. QUOTE (NobodysHeroine @ Jun 24 2011, 02:03 PM) This one is from the show I went to at The Palace of Auburn Hills, taken by fellow Michigan Rushian Joe Pesch: http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y371/Priestess-of-Syrinx/LOL%20Rush/41.jpg
  3. QUOTE (ColdFireYYZ @ Jun 24 2011, 11:02 PM) The only time I really listen to FM radio is in my dad's car, since the other car has XM, so I'm sick of the usuals - Slow Ride, Hotel California, Dream On, Bohemian Rhapsody, and so on. They're good songs, but I'm pretty much sick of them. I love satellite radio though. The Boneyard and Deep Tracks are great. I've discovered quite a few bands from listening to XM. This. But to answer the question: I remember a few years ago that "Dani California" was one of those songs. I agree with "Hotel California." "Layla" is probably another one.
  4. QUOTE (CMWriter @ Jun 22 2011, 12:13 AM) That picture is most certainly not a joke! It's legit! Marching band is so a sport. Spend one afternoon at a marching band rehearsal (inb4 a good marching band, like maybe a drum corps if you can get in) and you'll know what I mean. Whether we are/were all band "nerds" is not the point. It's a sport, and for too long it hasn't been recognized as such! Agreed. I did it for a couple years. And I was in the drum line. Heavy snare drum is heavy. Definitely a workout.
  5. I have listened to this and I like it a lot.
  6. QUOTE (NobodysHeroine @ Jun 23 2011, 06:14 PM) I've noticed something, Lerxst ladies. Over the last few weeks, I've really warmed up to Alex. Not like that! [Yeah, that can't possibly be taken seriously after the 69 pages comment. ] But you know what I mean [i hope ]. This picture is in my 2011 Rush Calendar... http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y371/Priestess-of-Syrinx/LOL%20Rush/2011-jun-main.jpg ...and I can't stop looking at it. My Lerxst lady side likes what she sees. I have that calendar too. And I agree.
  7. Presto, though AFTK was close in my mind.
  8. Subdivisions. For like the 3rd or 4th time.
  9. New video for "Wot We Do." It isn't that good, like I expected. http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermo...wsitemID=159474
  10. Rush (3x) Stone Temple Pilots Heaven and Hell Overkill
  11. New Queensryche song sucks. Also, apparently Metallica is making/has made an album with Lou Reed. Don't know what to think about this.
  12. Ozzy - Blizzard of Ozz Dio - Last in Line
  13. QUOTE (CMWriter @ Jun 10 2011, 12:44 AM) Lame shampoo joke was lame. Loved Neil Patrick Harris. (Squee!) Loved that guy who was on at the end before Neil. (Lol! Love those cell phone help-lines, I was dying with laughter.) Oh and that drummer guy was pretty cool too. First time I noticed the "One - two - three - four!" part, or was I seeing things? Agreed. It was good, as expected. And you weren't seeing things when Neil was counting.
  14. QUOTE (JohnnyBlaze @ Jun 7 2011, 09:27 AM) QUOTE (The Mighty Dudad @ Jun 7 2011, 10:21 PM) According to a posting at RIAB, Neil taped his performance yesterday. Check out the comments section on that posting...nice recap from a fan who was at the taping. RIAB - TMD Good info in those RIAB comments. Thanks for your post Interesting.
  15. QUOTE (Rushman14 @ Jun 2 2011, 01:22 PM) there are some longer good quality clips of the special edition up on itunes, and it's not quite as wretched as I first thought. It still sounds like a weak Tate solo effort though. Agreed, strangely enough. But it's still kinda bad.
