    Tron?

I put aside an expectations, and wasn't disappointed. The free passes to the IMAX 3D showing helped as well.
  2. QUOTE (FOH Lights @ Dec 14 2010, 12:56 PM) QUOTE (gazza65 @ Dec 14 2010, 09:28 AM) Can anyone tell me ...have they dumped the lasers on the Time machine tour ??????...if so WHY ??? Howard dropped the lazers for the TM tour, simply because he was tired of using them. He brought in a lot of other new fixtures & different types of lighting to give him the affects he wanted to achieve. In fact, this is the most elaborate lighting rig that Rush has ever had. While I'm somewhat biased, IMO, visually, it's the most phenomenal Rush show I've ever seen. I must agree. Well said!
  3. QUOTE (TullSkull @ Dec 25 2010, 04:34 PM) It kind of got me too at the 1st show, then 2nd show I was waiting for it.. Same with me!
  4. Gonna have to call BS on that.
  5. It is all about what you are willing to spend. And that goes for anything; not just Rush tickets. I try to always buy quality. Getting good seats at a Rush concert is something I consider to be high quality.

Tosh.0 is awesome. Love his sense of humor.
  7. I think Dr. Evil finally got the lasers attached to the sharks heads. "Lasers" http://scienceblogs.com/bushwells/dr.evil.laser_lj.jpg
  8. Section 102, row 2.. see you all in Sunrise!
  9. QUOTE (osubeatum @ Dec 13 2010, 08:43 AM) QUOTE (Oziumrules @ Dec 10 2010, 01:28 PM)I don't mind $150 per seat as long as I am within the 1st 20 rows. I would never pay $150 for a lower bowl or side seat. I was the same way until about 10 years ago then I sat in the first few rows in the lower bowl and loved it. Those are the first seats I go for at any concert now. On the floor you are packed in like sardines and it's difficult to see over people on the same level as you (well, for me it is at 5' 9"). In the lower bowl, that's not an issue. Nothing beats first few rows on the floor dead center if you are lucky enough to get them but try my way once, I think you'll be more than happy. I love lower bowl seats if it is in the first couple of rows. I will be at the Ft. Lauderdale show. Sec 102, Row 1. Middle of the arena on Geddy's side. I was in section 117, row 1 in 2008. The direct opposite of 102 on Alex's side. I always had a clear view of what was doing on. Loved it.

  11. QUOTE (ReflectedLight @ Dec 12 2010, 10:24 PM) who knows how much they get to keep but you can bet they are going get as much as they can as long as people are willing to shell out to see the shows. they have talents and are in demand. nobody is being forced to buy the tickets and if you aren't happy with the product or what they are putting out, don't buy it. Well said!
  12. I think a M&C sequel would be awesome! Bring it on!
  13. QUOTE (balance @ Dec 3 2010, 01:41 PM) QUOTE (Derxst @ Dec 2 2010, 07:10 PM) I expect to pay $150 per ticket to see Rush, and I willing to pay it. If you want a cheap concert, go see Poison or Ratt at the fair. Derxst, I hate to bust your bubble with that statement but, if memory serves me right didn't the boys just play about 5 or 6 fairs this time around? I paid $136 for 2 tickets second row in front of Geddy. Cheap but, damn what a F***en show plus it WAS WAY better than Poison or Ratt could ever be. When I say "fair" I mean like a county fair. You know: win a stuffed animal, get some candied apples, go see the washed up band. Not the kind of "fair" where Rush would perform. "Free with your admission - EDDIE MONEY!"
  14. QUOTE (RushNut @ Dec 3 2010, 12:45 PM) QUOTE (Derxst @ Dec 3 2010, 11:46 AM) QUOTE (RushNut @ Dec 3 2010, 08:59 AM) Wow..you can really feel the "compassion" for those that are less fortunate than others and maybe cannot afford it. If one can afford to pay for any concert, regardless of the price, that person is not considered one of the "less fortunate." I'm talking about those that CAN'T afford it. Why would one think someone who COULD afford it is less fortunate? Concerts aren't a need. They are a want. I have compassion for people without food or clothing. There is no need to feel compassion for someone who cannot go to a concert.
  15. Perhaps it has no meaning.
  16. I'll be there with my usual group. I love arena shows.
  17. I think they should play Emotion Detector. That will be when I go to the restroom, and then get a beer.
  18. QUOTE (metaldad @ Dec 3 2010, 10:17 AM) QUOTE (ALifeson85 @ Dec 3 2010, 01:15 AM) they should drop Faithless from the set, and put Jacob's Ladder Yes. Faithless was the low point for me and not a good live song. Ditto

  21. Damn! I bet this would have been a great thread, too!
