There's a restaurant and bar in Bar Harbor, Maine, called GEDDY'S PUB. No, it's not owned by our Geddy, but the owner is somebody named Gary, who is nicknamed "Geddy" (just like our main man). I hung out at RushCon with a gal who had a t-shirt from the bar. You can buy them (and learn more about the pub) here: www.geddyspub.com. Since I first heard about the pub, they've had a lot of questions about Geddy Lee and Rush - which led them to create the following t-shirt. You can buy it at the bar or online. (This is their mascot, dressed as Geddy and playing a Jazz bass, with the legend "It's a Rush!" Spike Posted June 15, 2006 Share Posted June 15, 2006 I go up to Bar Harbor 3-4 times a year, and eat at Geddy's often - not just because of the name, but because they've got good food and a cool atmosphere. However, it is actually pronounced "Jeddy's", with the soft "G" instead of a hard "G" like Geddy Lee. And yes, I did buy the shirt, of course!! Sure, if I'm in Bar Harbor, I'll pop in, but that's a long drive for a restaurant that's unrelated to the band (even one that is). Nice shirt and poster, though.
