EagleMoon
When I was younger my mom used to make creamed corn and that always turned my stomach. That and Lima beans. I don't care for brussels sprouts either. Other than that I'm pretty flexible.Same list for me with the addition of Ass-paragus. Creamed corn is a unholy concoction invented for toothless elderly people in nursing homes.I don't understand creamed corn. It's like someone said, "Ok, let's take this perfectly fine corn and f**k it up!" ;) It's like it's pre-chewed.

Can't imagine burgers and tacos without them now. Salad too, of course. Roma tomatoes are boring. Iceberg lettuce is boring. Heirloom tomatoes are interesting. Romaine lettuce spiced up with some kale and arugula can make your salad pop. Roast some garlic with salt and olive oil and add a add a dash of freah ground mustard seed to a salad dressing with balsamic vinegar. Salt to taste Yes I am available for small (5-8 people) events. Ill bring my own grill for an extra fee.

I think I wasn't into lettuce because my parents rarely made dishes with it. We always ate all kinds of veggies but they were almost always cooked. Even in 21st century Blaze gatherings, there's always a salad but it's always the most neglected dish on the table. People eat it but it's more out of pity. Really, how can even a kick ass salad compete with regular Blaze family event entrees like roast pork, fried turkey, baked salmon, deep fried spring rolls, and grilled shrimp skewers? It's like having a talented high school kid (that's still trying to land a scholarship) on the same court with an NBA legends team led by Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan.

The pancit noodle I prefer that I already mentioned is closer to a yakisoba noodle, though not as thick. In recent years, I think a pancit dish using both noodle types seems best. And my family puts a lot in the pancit too: chicken, Filipino sausages, pork, shrimp, and the various veggies. Squeeze the lemon on top when it's done and you've got gustatory ecstasy.
