Permanent-Rush
This just makes me sad........ Why? Multiple reasons. 1. I know that Rush is probably done now and there will be no more.2. I missed their best tour since Moving Pictures Tour just because they refused to come to Europe, and I could not afford to see them in USA.3. I hear on this forum how great time everybody had, meeting each other before the shows, and I would have wanted to join that as well.Hell, I've booked my flight without having a ticket for the LA show, and as Gina heard that I will cross the pond, she offered me a ticket (3rd row floor, Geddy's side :haz: ) and she asked for one f***in' German beer. Now that's rock'n'roll...So I guess she's not a part of the 90% right? Who are you talking about?

greyfriar
Very cool stuff. Thanks for posting. Glad I got to meet you guys out there, but wish I could have hung out a bit longer. If I had it to do over again I'd have flown out Friday instead of Saturday then maybe I could have gotten to the Forum earlier.Even if it was a short encounter, it was a pleasure to meet you...and thanks for the R40 candles. My pleasure. I'll pass your thank you along to my friend Lilli who came up with the idea and made them. She'll be happy to know they found good homes!Great idea from Lilli.I've found a good spot on my working desk and when I'm in a Rush mood, I switch it on. :sundog:

tomhealey
To quote TM from another thread..."I see Tom Healey."I have such great memories of this show. Of the friends I met, and the friends I've known for years.I still have my candle. It still lights, as I found out last month when I turned it on, and smiled a wry smile. Thanks so much to Lilli for this memento! And I, too, gave away the ticket next to me, to a dear friend from 12+ years of these shows. And I, too, got a beer out of it (domestic, not imported), plus a great, knowing, extended, side-arm hug during Xanadu, from the album where it all started for me. And I'd do it all again tomorrow, if I only could.Plus, I got to show my nine year old son his daddy on youtube. What could beat that? The one year anniversary is coming up!

Empty Mindless Spectre
Sigh… I rode right by BWI Airport last night on my way to a kRUSH show (awesome RUSH tribute band!). I flew out of BWI 4 times for R40 shows last year, one of those being the LA Forum. It made me heartsick.
