rickyrob
QUOTE (Raider917 @ Oct 5 2005, 07:47 PM) how long before the start of a game do we have to change our roster? Also, if you want to drop a player for someone else, do it the day before the game that you want to play the new player. He will only be available from the next day. The table above shows you how many of each you have used, how many you have remaining, your projected pace and the maximum allowed. Once you exceed the maximum, you will no longer accumulate stats for the position AHH I am glad I found this little tidbit now

I've got Alfredsson, who scored the first shootout winner in the NHL, and he wasn't credited with it

Cygnus27
My guess is that it is a game-time decision for the most part. One thing I consider is if a team plays 2 nights in a row, chances are that a team may start the back-up goalie for one of those games like the Habs did last night in Atlanta. Cygnus27
QUOTE (Cygnus27 @ Oct 1 2005, 01:49 PM) I don't know Kazz... While Hull may be in the twilight of his career, he does have a couple things going for him: a) he and Gretzky are very good friends and he will want to play well for him. you can bet he'll be on the first line powerplay, and there will be a ton of those this year! Also, Hull very quietly racked up 25 goals, and 23 pts on the powerplay last season with Detroit (playing on the 2nd line). In Phoenix, he will be a 30-goal scorer again. But with that said... I don't need to trade for him since my right side is stacked with Bertuzzi, Heatley and Bondra. Well, Hull retired... So much for my long-winded advice! Let The Fray Begin
Shootout goals don't count towards anyone's stats. If Calgary beats Vancouver (like they did tonight ) 1-0, and they happen to do it in a shootout, then NOBODY gets a goal on the official scoresheet.
