Finally got to see them live in Atlanta. Man. It's a freaking gear-fest. Geddy played about 1000 different basses.

 

One of the things that I thought was really interesting . . . Alex, naturally, plays a couple of his signature guitars. (They didn't play How It Is, there, so no PRS 12-string for us.) He played the PRS Angelus acoustic. And, he played at least 2 different ones of the LP Axcess. He played the Crimson one that he's played in the past. But, he also played a new one, I think. The signature Axcess models that you can buy (that I've seen, anyway) do not have a pick guard on it.

 

The black one that he plays on DEW, RtB, and TSoR has a white pick guard on it. It's got the dual output jacks, so I'm assuming that means it's got the piezo. And it has the Floyd Rose trem on it. So, either, it's a new model, a custom one, or it's an older Axcess that's had the pick guard added.

 

Also, there was a good video I saw of the double-neck SG that he plays on Xanadu, and I never realized how thin it is. I am guessing that helps with the weight.

 

What I'm saying is, if you love gear, get yourself to a show and get a close seat!
