I was just talking to a friend at work about his 1957 Chevy 150. Then we got on the subject of this bad boy.

 

In 1957, a full race-ready version of the 150 also available, commonly known as the "Black Widow" for its black-and-white paint color. It was equipped with 4-wheel heavy-duty brakes, 6-lug wheels and dual shock absorbers. It also had the fuel injected 283 from the Corvette.

1963 Pontiac Catalina Super Duty 421 "Swiss Cheese". To save weight for racing, Pontiac drilled holes in parts of the car, thus the Swiss Cheese nick name.

Minor point the 426 Max Wedge was not a HEMI. The Max Wedge motors had more tradional push rod heads.
