antiquark
Think the answer would be something along like the lines like it "sounded right". Musicians aren't necessarily philosophers or mathematicians when it comes to comstructing their work. Sometimes it just flows organically.I better get cracking on my essays then! Occasionally I've seen vids on youtube where the band members/producers talk about the details of a song, and usually they go into a lot of depth abou why the song was constructed the way it was. It's like they're writing a story. For example, somewhere on youtube Rush is talking about why Red Barchetta sounds the way it does, why the guitars sound the way they do, etc. (Sorry I forget where I saw it). Union 5-3992
Usually, musicians have detailed reasons as to why they wrote the songs the way they did. Other than "IT SOUNDED SO COOL DUDE!"Just wondering if anyone has read about the thought processes that went into Hemispheres.Alex & Geddy have said "it sounded cool so we did it" was their whole reason for writing a song
