CygnusX-1Bk2
Still doesn't change the fact that no Strat is worth more than $500. Not to mention I never heard of this guy until this thread. :) Yes, Guthrie Govan literally didn't exist until YOU heard of him. :PAs far as I'm concerned yes. He's just some guy who plays guitar. Then again I hold no reverence for famous players for the most part anyway. I have more contempt for many of my perceived heros than anything else. :) I'm sure he's no Buckethead. That dude plays stuff that is crazy insanely creative. And outputs up to 30 albums at a shot which I just found out about. He had some "lessons" on demand (Comcast) a while back. He's clearly insane, but what he played was near inconceivable to me. A two hand technique I've never seen anywhere else. Despite that both of these guys are pretty much nobodies to people who don't play guitar.

Go listen to Alan Holdsworth or John McLaughlin. Holdsworth did stuff like this 30 years ago. And he plays chord voicings over 5 or 6 frets in between runs. And check out my Buckethead thread. http://www.therushforum.com/index.php?/topic/80929-80s-charvel-super-strat-holdsworth-shows-you-what-to-do-with-one/page__hl__holdsworth http://www.therushforum.com/index.php?/topic/19343-any-buckethead-fans-in-here/page__hl__buckethead#entry687886 So you can rest assured if we say he's good well then he's good, but hey make your own mind up during your own investigations.
