Presto-digitation
Our awesome local mom and pop record store, Harvest Records, has taken to putting all Tuesday releases on the shelf the Friday before, and thus I obtained a copy of the new Green Day album a bit early. Pretty different from Uno!. Definitely less power pop-punk oriented, Dos! has an interesting 60s-Beatley-punk thing going on. Definitely a sixties infusion here. It's as if Johns Lydon and Lennon collaborated to a degree. Anyhow, got three full listens in a decent drive to see Kevin Smith last night and have to recommend it. It's not as catchy and immediate as Uno! but then it wasn't designed to be either. Lots of really good stuff for those who enjoy this band.... I'll chime in with favorites/not-so-favorites after a bit more digestion.
Shredder2
I've yet to obtain my copy of it, but I did, however, listened to it, thanks to Rolling Stone streaming it. After the first listen, I enjoyed it, but I'm still letting it grow on me before I start to go into further detail on my opinion on it.
