Well, I see something like this:

And it's all surrounded with plants, trees and flowers and there are birds and insects. Its sort of half hidden cause it's been there for thousands of years. There's a gravel pathway leading up to it.

This.

All jokes aside, I always figured that the front and back cover of CoS represented the two epics...

Front Cover: The Necromancer

Back Cover: The Fountain of Lamneth

I could be wrong of course!  smile.gif

I never thought about it that way before, but I think you may have a point. Someone ask Hugh Syme.

For the longest time I always thought the from cover was an Indian's head looking to the left. On further inspection I noticed it was a guy standing there. Look at the album cover from far away and you'll see what I mean.

Does any one know if this was suppose to be an illusion, of some sort?

I think so, and I interpret the guy to be the Necromancer.

Had to go to the hobby store and get moss, trees, "water", etc. This might take longer than I expected.... Edited by HowItIs

This. I always thought that was the fountain. It's a whole side of the album, why wouldn't it be on the cover?
