BTW-The B's were in a serious need of PP help. I'm still not fully convinced. I still think they need a playmaking center. The loss of Savard has killed the solid two to three lines. It's down to two solid lines and a great fourth line. The third line stills needs someone to be really strong.

So, is this thread about the NHL or just scores? Curious because the B's made a couple more trades and I'm fairly happy with them. Wheeler was not holding up his end of the bargain. Too many turnovers and not enough offensive flair to really look at him as a viable threat to opponents. Mark Stuart became obsolete because McQuaid pretty much played a stronger game than Stuart. We got Kaberle from the Leafs. That one will surely help the PP. Lastly, we got Kelly. Not sure what kind of game he's going to play. I read what Chara said about him and I saw his stats but the players that are in the 3rd and 4th lines have a lot more work to show what they bring to the table.
Take Shawn Thornton, he doesn't score a ton of goals but he skates, he hits, he is defensively responsible. Thereby making him worthwhile to have on the team.
Anyone else want to talk about the trades that are going to or already happened?

So's my team. tongue.gif ... doh.gif

Really? I mean, I know they aren't the same team as last year but do they really stink this year? They have a playoff spot, no?

They're in 11th place. We only lost Sopel and our D looks like Denmark's. Forwards can't finish and don't get me started on Hossa.

Well, I stand corrected. I knew they weren't like last year but I thought they were doing a little better than that. I'm sorry, dude. I'd like to see most of the Original Six in the playoffs. (Montreal and Toronto excluded). I pick Toronto because the lower the are in the standings, the higher the draft pick the B's get.

I'm sure you're looking for the second seed, at least. trink39.gif

I heard nothing about the Caps. They truly need another defenseman or two that can handle more stay at home defense. They've been in a nasty tailspin.

Actually the defence is way better this year. It is the offence that sucks this year. If we can get last year's offence and this year's defence we can make some noise like we are supposed to. Still have a chance to get this thing going.

After a shitty day, there's nothing like a Leafs-Sens game on HNIC on a Saturday evening. Scoreless after 40. Craig Anderson is looking like a big upgrade on Brian Elliot.

You got Canucks to look forward to soon. And you know what? Sedins are beginning to look good to me. drool1.gif Kill the Stars! trink39.gif
