Having a hard time figuring out the meter to this tune. I'm thinking some of it is in 5/4, but I need some help.

5/4 is like five quarter notes per measure. A measure is kind of like a musical sentence. Count it like this:

 

1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 5 and

Oops. I am counting the wrong bit! Yeah it is in 4/4, or 8/8.
