launchpad67a
37 years ago today and old girlfriend of mine was born. We eventually ended up moving in together, only for me to return home one day and find All my belongings gone, and her too! Not only did she take all my clothes, instruments, furniture, av equipment, but she took my entire Rush collection!! Sorry, can't relate this date to anything but that worthless B*tch!! BTW, all that was left in the house was a broom. Never saw her again...never! Alright, on with my day.
Schro
Ya know - that's great and all, but I think Rush gets kinda buried under all the other successful groups that started in the 70s and are still around today. Too many examples to mention. Like, uh.. It'll come to me, hold on. No - don't go yet, I almost got one. Really. P.S. Took the entire Rush collection too? Horrors!! Dude - you need some sort of warning before you post like that. Like, "Caution, the following post contains harsh imagery to hardcore Rush fans and may cause nausea and/or dizzyness." Rush will never amount to anything --------- Happy Anniversary on their first Juno. Does anyone know when this soundbite was recorded?? It would be interesting to know if it was from the early days, when Alex really might have felt that way..... Or more recently (was he mocking someone who said that years ago, or was he saying it more seriously - as in they've never been accepted by the mainstream - billboard, Hall of Fame, etc.)

Or more recently (was he mocking someone who said that years ago, or was he saying it more seriously - as in they've never been accepted by the mainstream - billboard, Hall of Fame, etc.) Yes I know the answer. I created the sound byte from an Interview CD called Rush - The Story of Kings released in 1992 on BAKTABAK records. The interview took place shortly after the recording of Hold Your Fire. Alex is sitting in a coffee shop type setting with the interviewer so you can hear dishes and cups in the background throughout most of the CD. The quote is Alex discussing what Record Companies in Canada were saying about the band when they recorded the first record. Nobody wanted the band. Isolating the quote is just awesome. I use it in Rush mixes all the time. Alex says that line, and then BAM - pick any song you want to follow. I created some other interview snippets as well from this and another interview CD with Geddy. Other Snippets
