The Rush Kid Posted November 19, 2009 Share Posted November 19, 2009 "Entre Nous" wins it for me because it's more of that ballad type of feel and the lyrics are straight and simple whereas "Open Secrets" has this different approach where it's like sort of a breaking up tune you know. Both songs are indeed favorites in their respective albums but "Entre Nous" has that special up-beat feeling that I like so much and the bridge with the guitars apreggios and the basslines of Geddy Lee are incredible. But the same goes for "Open Secrets". Songwise, "Open Secrets" is more of a complex song than the other song because of everything down to the basslines, drums, synths, and the guitar. One advantage I would say about "Secrets" is that it actually has a guitar solo and also one of my favorite lines from Peart: "You could try to understand me." "I could try to understand you." In my opinion, the most "beautiful" song would be "Entre Nous" without a doubt because of its comparing lyrics and it's up-beat tempo. "Thanx for fukin' reading!"
