Spindrift82
Beck's new album, "Modern Guilt", is absolutely fantastic. I've been disappointed with his last few albums, but MG is a return to form. Honestly his best album since "Sea Change." It's getting rave reviews on Itunes, so I guess a lot of people like it.
Hatchetaxe&saw
This is good news as everything since Sea Change has been absolute pants. Sea Change is a beautiful record.
PuppetKing2112
I was debating whether or not to buy this, because I know that some of the profits Beck makes from it will inevitably go to Scientology, but I picked it up today and I really like it. Definitely better than his last two albums...I really like that it's a short 10-song, 30 minute album, so there's no room for filler. These last few years Beck had kind of fallen into a rut, sort of remaking the same album over and over again, and this is a good new direction for him, this '60s pop thing he has going on. And as you said, the writing is his strongest since Sea Change.
