After Jeff Beck, there was really no way for Rod to go but down... I have seen him 9 or 10 times. And that song has been played at least 5 of those times. he's got a great voice, I just think he never sounded better than his debut with Beck, with the exception of his guest spot on "People Get Ready" (also Beck). Young turks is a great tune though... He is one of the greatest performers. He will go from the beginning of his career straight through to the present. Doesn't have alot of intermission. And you get a great show from him.

You seem to have a talent for finding semi-discoish stuff that I still like to some degree. stop, please.

Sometimes I ask myself what next generations will post about mine generation as old videos too Rhyvenne, since your teen years were spent in the early-mid '90s, I think the future generations will post clips of grunge bands from that era and say how angry and grungy they sounded and looked. I was a little younger and I remember seeing that but just in bits and pieces. My cousins were all pumped up and they got me into KISS. KISS was the first band that I got totally wrapped up in. My first album that I bought with my own money was "Dressed to Kill". I think it cost about $5 at JC Penney or Musicland, can't remember where I got it. I tired of KISS after a few years, but I still remember how exciting it was just to see them on television. Unfortunately my parents were nowhere cool enough to even consider taking me to one of their shows. That would have been the highlight of my life. tupelobarchetta
Who's the cat that won't cop out When there's danger all about? CHEF! Can you dig it? My son, who was like 12 or 13 at the time, and I went to an NBA game between the Grizzlies and the Wizards. Isaac Hayes, decked out in a red, white and blue American flag warm-up suit, delivered a fantastic a cappella rendition of the national anthem. After the song ended, my son said, 'Dad, he sounds like Chef on South Park.' I informed him that was the guy who did the voice of Chef. I think my son enjoyed that more than seeing Jordan play. It was also a treat for me, since one of the first 45 singles I ever bought - at age 8 - was the Theme From Shaft.
