chickendance.gif Yes he is...but there is more to it than that.

He's got a date with fate in a black sedan?

Yep , but He'd love to spend the night in Zion

So why does he not need a bed?

Well the story goes that when they were doing the pre production planning for Signals they were going over housing and meals etc. So they needed rooms for the Band , Producer ,Engineers, etc. but when it came to the Digital Man ( as this was the first Rush Album to be released in the new fangled format called CD) that the person coming in to do the digital mastering could knock it out in one day....thus he wont need a bed because he's a Digital Man.

Ok I'm done , its someone elses turn to post one.

Q. On what song does the lyrics "lotus-land" appear, and what is it making reference to?

Easy one. "Free Will", and the reference is to the land of the Lotus-Eaters in Homer's Odyssey. A land lacking in reason, a sort of mythological Disney World, if you will.

So why didn't anyone answer my questions seriously?

Your last question was a stumper - I for one didn't know you were looking for some "real-life" history behind the lyric on "Digital Man." I honestly didn't know there was any - thanks, because that story IS interesting.

I was just taking a stab in the dark.

Since we're on Signals, how many red pushpins representing the dalmation's hydrant route are there on the Borough of Shmeng subdivision blueprint? I'll give you 5 choices.. 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7??

What was the name of the "venue" where Rush had their first paying gig?

I don't know but I do know they went to Panzers right afterwords to spend their $10 fee.

Here's a quickie:

What's the personal connection between Rush and Frankie Goes To Hollywood?

No guesses 12 hours later: the answer is Andy Richards, keyboard player/synth programmer.

Okey-doke. This is a tougher one because it cannot easily be looked up.

As we all know, Pratt makes a reference to Simon and Garfunkle's "Sound of Silence" in "The Spirit of Radio." He makes another more subtle reference to Simon and Garfunkle on another song on Permenant Waves. What is the song and what is the reference?

I asked this question once on chat. If you got the answer from me then, please give other folks a shot.
