the new classic:

It's not at classic status yet.

If there's a series, it'll be just below Thunderbirds, but nevertheless, a classic.

As with Ricky, I've come down on the side of Captain Scarlett - mainly due to the more fact that it moved away from the peril of the week that, by its very nature, was the set-up for Thunderbirds. the ongoing plot development made it that little bit more satisfying for me.

As for Team America - it was good but its a long way from being a classic.

my vote goes to thunderbirds as its the gerry anderson show i saw first and grew up with. i dread to think how many thunderbird two toys i got through when i was a kid (their little plastic legs kept snapping off!). i even have thunderbirds 1, 2 and 3 toys on the shelf behind me at work. i remember when i was little the episode with the crocodiles scared the bejesus out of me!

captain scarlett was also very good though, and slightly better made (puppets and scenery not quite so wobbly!). i do also own captain scarlett's car, a spectrum persuit vehicle and an angel interceptor. but they live at home!

stingray was ok but joe 90 just got on my wick - clever little git!

it was the glasses that did it, and that oversized shirt button rofl3.gif icon_really_happy_guy.gif

Have you noticed that no-one has even mentioned Terrahawks yet?

that's 'cos it was rubbish!

I grew up with Thunderbirds but Captain Scarlet became my favourite. I think Thunderbirds had a tendency to overstay its welcome, in that the episodes were too long, whereas Scarlet was just right at 25 minutes.

Must say, I think the recent computer animated version of Captain Scarlet was excellent, too smile.gif

I'm from the second showing of Thunderbirds on UK tv in the 80's followed by Captain Scarlet and so on,so i've got to say Captain Scarlet is my fav.

But there all good really.

I can barely remember terrahawks, I can just remember cube shaped thingy's were the good guys. I was going to vote for thunderbirds, But i get flashbacks of the film that was out for it 062802puke_prv.gif , So Captain Scarlet is way more classic for me, Gerry Anderson, What a guy, Dont make them like that anymore
