BTW...this is a question for anyone with 'Decoding The Tomb of Bansheebot':

Isn't the song "Disecto" on this album?

When I look it up on other sites, it lists it as being on this album, but on TDRS, it doesn't have it listed.

Just wondering...because I love that song!  1022.gif

Yeah it's on the album, here's the tracklisting:

1. "Materilalizing [sic] the Disembodied" 2:04

2. "Asylum of Glass" 4:36

3. "Ghost Host" 3:08

4. "Killing Cone" 4:21

5. "Bloodless" 4:06

6. "Checkerboard Incision" 4:02

7. "Circarama" 2:15

8. "Disecto" 2:22

9. "Pickwick's Lost Chapter" 0:33

10. "I Can Only Carry 50 Chickens at a Time" 3:06

11. "Stretching Lighthouse" 3:19

12. "Hall of Scalding Vats" 6:25

13. "Sail on Soothsayer" (In Memory of Aunt Susie 1932-2007) 6:29

Notice that Ghost Host, Checkerboard Incision, Stretching Lighthouse appear to have sequels on Slaughterhouse. Plus Rack Maintenance from Kaleidoscalp has a sequel on there too. Pumpkin Pike might be a sequel to Stun Pike and Jack in a Box Head too.

Yup...I thought the same thing when I saw "Checkerboard", "Stretching", and "Goat" in the titles.

It should be interesting! I do love all of those songs anyways, so if the "sequels" are as good, then this album will be worth it for sure! 1022.gif

Here's the artwork:

TD,

That's sweet! So, does that artwork mean you got your copy already?? Or is that just from the Internet?

If you did get it...can you (or anyone else) give us your review of the album?

Mine is still in the mail...CAN'T WAIT!!! 1022.gif

No, I got that off the net, mine's still in the mail too...

Nice!! 1022.gif 1022.gif

How is it so far?? Which album(s) does it sound most similar to?

I dunno yet I've not been able to get a chance to listen to it! It's still in the cellophane wrapper! I'm going out in a few minutes too...

I forgot to come back to this:

Ok to my ears it's most similar to his latest solo stuff ie: Albino Slug, Bansheebot, Pepper's ghost with a little Dragons of Eden and Frankenstein Brothers thrown in.

Not so Much EMAC, Crime Scene or Inbred Mountain, nor Cuckoo Clocks, Lost Minds or Kaleidoscalp.

This is just after a very few listens though...

It sounds good so far anyway!!

And now a quick update: the latest Buckjethead album is out -

A Real Diamond in the Rough!!

I've not got it yet, I've been a bit tardy with this one, but I'm looking forward to getting my hands on it in a few days time!

I was really pleased to notice that jazz guitar legend Pat Metheny is a big fan of Buckethead!!

(look in his feb recommendations)

Even I missed this one, well by a few days. Sounds like it might be a really good one, notice how it's listed as a Bucketheadland CD, might be in the vein of Inbred Mountain...

Oh yeah that's a great one, great tunes and great playing, has a really good atmosphere, he plays banjo on the album and there's even a Randy Rhoads riffage vibe on a couple of tracks too!

Yup...it's now up for purchase at the Store as well. I've heard a few tracks on YouTube, and while they're alright, there are other albums I need to get first!

The great news is, I finally added a few more albums to my collection this week. In the mail, I just received:

POPULATION OVERRIDE

INBRED MOUNTAIN

A REAL DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH

Population Override is really exceptional. I mean, this album just has such an organic feel. The songs all sound fresh and alive...very cool record! So much fun to listen to!

Inbred Mountain is hit and miss for me so far. Some of the songs don't hit me at all (yet, anyways), BUT...it also contains 2 songs that I would probably put in my Top 5 for Buckethead: LOTUS ISLAND and PLASTINATION STATION! Killer f'n songs! 1022.gif

The new 'Diamond' album sounds great too. Once I get it back from my fiancee, I will certainly be giving it a closer listen, but all that I've heard from it so far, I really like. 'Broken Mirror' sounds outstanding!

I think next on my list is: Crime Slunk Scene, Albino Slug, and Elephant Man's Alarm Clock cool.gif

The Homing Beacon - A Song For Michael Jackson

http://www.bucketheadland.com/

Well, I figured sooner or later, BH would have a tribute to MJ. If you go to BH's website, the intro has the link to the new song.

It's understandably mellow, but I really enjoyed it. I was hoping for a new album ( wink.gif ), but maybe this is just the first song...

did you notice the MP3 is titled the landing beacon not the homing beacon?

the artwork appears to be drawn by buckethead too.

Hey Guys,

Just wondering if you guys know the best way to get my hands on COLMA and ELECTRIC TEARS.

Neither one of these albums are for sale on the TDRSMusic website.

I love what I've heard from both albums, but I have no idea where the best place is to purchase these.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated! trink39.gif
