Riv Posted October 31, 2005 Share Posted October 31, 2005 Alright kids, I know I have been back for almost a week now, but trust me, I have barely just begun to recover from this trip. My body is tired and my liver is in a state of confusion. I seriously needed 3 days to recover from lack of sleep and I am still in the process of detoxifying myself! We hit 7 cities in 13 days spanning across the entire middle of the country and around Transylvania. It was funny, because talking to Romanians about where I had been I became aware that I have seen more of Romania than most Romanians. I guess being a poorer country they just do not travel much, not to mention the fact that half of them ride donkey carts. The only real mishap we had was about 10 miles after I got the rental car I hit a sign too close to the road (yes, and I was speeding) and knocked the passenger side mirror off! Confident in my disposition of rental cars we kept on through the trip with wires hanging off the f***ing car! Well, that and the guy I threw down a flight of stairs into some tables (I call it whiskey bowling) in Brasov for calling my friend a N - word (he's from Uruguay). All in all it was a fantastic trip, and I miss that place...well, I miss the women. I'm actually still talking to one and may bring her to Greece soon. I had two girlfriends in Bucharest the day I left . You should have seen me juggling dinner dates. Well, at least twice the wine, right? Romanians are the most friendly people I have encountered on all of my journey's. They are like instant friends to anyone they meet. Sure, there were places where we were looked at like we were aliens...but even them, after talking to us, warmed up instantly. It was always nice to put a smile on a strangers face. I have more email addresses than I can remember who they go to. I'm trying to upload some pictures for you guys but I am having serious bandwidth problems right now. I forgot his name after he told it to me so I just caled him Frenchie all night. He was broke so I'd get up on blackjack and throw him some chips and he would lose them.
