Huck
QUOTE (ABZ Highlander @ Oct 12 2005, 11:38 PM) See's same pig!! HA HA! England won their group, but they still want rid of Sven!!! Anyone got a F*ckin' explanation for that ! Never happy are they! Maybe if Johnny Wilkinson started taking penalties and Rooney/ Posh Spice was better looking!! That's coz we're English ABZ, only world domination will do! I know what you mean though, I wish people would get off Sven's back, at the end of the day no matter how much you disagree with tactics and substitutions in particular, results speak for themselves
queenshall
What do you think?....England played better last night than of late and we were missing Gerrard and Beckham. I bet there are a few people in the media keeping a low profile. They hung Erikson weeks ago, have they looked at the table this morning?
Mandalorian Hunter
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Is it Sven out there kicking the ball? No. It's the players, if anything, if England lose they should be sacked. Who cares about tactics? The players can ultimately do what they want, and can revert to a 4-4-2 on the pitch! Honestly, people would think they're planning to fight a war, not kick a ball about with all this "tactics" malarky!

rickyrob
QUOTE (Mandalorian Hunter @ Oct 22 2005, 11:05 AM) I thought they'd changed and England were back in the Top 10? Holland are going pretty good though! This is obviously a JOKE! Its got USA 7th and Mexico 5th You have to bear in mind that friendlies are counted in these standings which makes the whole thing stupid, because most friendly matches are experimental teams anyway - esp. where England are concerned. Apparently if England beat Argentina in the friendly coming up, they will move into the Top
Mandalorian Hunter
Well, based on teams, we all know brazil would have to be beating england off, they're a joke anyway, the US are awful when it comes to proper matches.

nebbish
Hey...ABZ ...thank god someone started this thread I can't believe I've only noticed it now! OK......Club Team - WEST HAM UTD Supported them since I was about 5 yr old. I usually get over at least twice a season to The Academy of Football (Upton Park). Go on you 'ammers! They're doing alright in the Premiership at the moment and holding their own. Just a pity when we got relegated that we turned into a selling team (didn't expect anything else mind you!) and now teams like Chelsea/Spurs/ Man U are all enjoyng the great young players who came up through the hammers youth squads. Away to Liverpool this weekend - well they're not playing well at all. European Champions Internationally, well we're not Brazil, we're Northern Ireland. Sneaking (I think) back into the top 100 We had our World Cup this year when we beat the mighty (cough lol) England 1-0 - what a victory as we sent the big boys packing with their tails between their legs. What a night! As for George Best - well I've read a lot of comments on him. I would just like to say he was the BEST footballer who ever played the game - period!. Naturally gifted and an absolute genius I hope he pulls through from this recent illness!
