pjbear05
Not a fan. Over the years, I think the only show I saw with an orchestra was Rick Wakeman's Journey To The Centre Of The Earth at MSG but that album was record with an orchestra.Saw the same concert at Cobo Hall in Detroit right after the album came out. They also backed him up on some good renditions of his Six Wives tunes.
pjbear05
I loved Yes' Magnification & the Symphonic tour. Opeth's Live Concert At The Albert Hall is fantastic, as is Deep Purple's Concerto For Group & Orchestra. Opeth copied DP's album cover as a tribute. Procol Harum's Live In Concert With The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra also works well. Some of Emerson Lake & Palmer In Concert & Works Live has an orchestra performing.Always loved EL&P's Pirates. I can't link YouTube vids from my tablet, but there's a good one of them performing the tune live in Montreal.
