oh crap, what's that clip of UFO from ??

I've never seen that one before

I'm not sure, it could have been a promo video from back in the day.

yeah, but it's not even on youtube anywhere

No one must have uploaded it.

A bit like the Whistle Test interview with Alex from 1985 where he says "Power Windows" are just the same as the ones in your car!

I had loads of those Compilation albums, but not this one. K-tel indeed !!

Was that Tommy Vance with the voice-over?

As for UFO, that classic lineup was superb.

I was blown away seeing them live.

I find it amazing how few top guitarists play a flying V.

Is it more difficult to play? The sound is fantastic.

I think this one is probably the most important metal compilation of them all! And obviously the most important K-tel album ever made!

The flying V is a little awkward to play while sitting down ... If you notice how Schenker kind of leans over and puts the "V" of it between his legs, that's what you need to do while sitting ... The leverage is very different ..

I agree completely with UFO ...... Fantastic band, and they consistently put out a lot of great albums for a long long time

The Flying V in all it's glory.

I was in attendance that night, this was about 1.am and Gary Moore was still to come after MSG.

The lineup that night was pretty awesome. The fantastic thing was, they NEVER advertised who was playing.

it was 1 unbelievable surprise after another.....

The Concerts were held at the Dortmund Westfahlen Halle. The biggest indoor arena in Europe at the time.

That is awesome FHLH . .

I wasn't able to see Schenker until the UFO reunion, but he was great - the entire band was great .. The first time I saw him in UFO was 1995 at the Limelight in NYC .. It was an old gothic church converted into a vast club .. I was standing upstairs just before showtime, and all five members of UFO and some of their wives / girlfriends and entourage walked by me ... Michael was carrying a small kid, smiling from ear to ear - I looked right at him and said GOOD LUCK TONIGHT MICHEAL - and he said "YES !!"

He is my all time favorite musician

I saw UFO in 1981 on the Wild Willing And The Innocent tour, and they were good - I like Paul Chapman and love those albums with him ... But a certain magic was gone when Michael left

I saw this thread and the title reminded me of a machete attack at a local mall on Saturday afternoon. The cops shot the guy. :(
