I'm really interested in what you like on North American TV. We get a sampling of whatever gets picked up by local networks. I don't watch much free-to-air because it's dominated by reality TV which I loathe. So I watch a lot of our equivalent of cable, Foxtel. I loved Westworld. I'm really liking Legion. Both series were ones where I said "WTF?" at the end of each episode. I like cop shows and mysteries but don't like zombies. I like scifi and not romantic drivel. Tell me what to look out for. I'm willing to buy DVDs if it's the only way I can watch something (like Battlestar Gallactica).

I really hate Disney Channel. It has gone down hill.

I love VH1 Classic. It is a great channel that show documentaries and movies about music and bands/artists. They also have That Metal Show also.

Hey, all! :hi: My friend just started this new blog that looks pretty interesting. It's not your run-of-the-mill review and opinion type blogs. He discusses various TV shows and analyses the artistic facets behind them. http://intellectualpotato.wordpress.com/

So...this thread stems from a conversation I had with Earl in another thread. If the boys from RUSH were characters from a well-known movie, series, comic or novel, which member would be which character? For example, from the world of Pooh I'd label them as... http://www.disneyclips.com/imagesnewb3/imageslwrakr01/rabbitside.gif http://www.disneyclips.com/imagesnewb/imageslwrakr01/cliptiggerhappy3.gifhttp://disney-clipart.com/winnie-the-pooh/eeyore/Eeyore-angel.jpg GEDDY ALEX NEIL

Here we goooooooooooo. I was watching what I'd recorded last night, and was watching "Hawaii 5-0" after having watched "GRIMM". The first shot on 5-0 had, after an opening stream of 'old time movies' of a woman in a chiffon dress, and the arm had wrinkles in it that looked like claw lines, and I immediately thought of some MONSTER from the "GRIMM" show. That made me laught SOOOOOOO hard!!! Oh. (SPOILER) The plot was the "Strangers On A Train" Hitchcock plot, which has now been used soooo many times, it's a cliche! Next up: A commercial about a new Subaru car that has a couple with a choice in 'where to go', a 'fork in the road' type thing, and the wife starts 'day dreaming' about camping outdoors (wild animals) and at the end of her dream she's about to do her 'bathroom business' when two 'ol' boys'show up, and it hits me that "Deliverance" is STILL being worked into this type of thing these days... A 'perp' on a show I was watching lately used the word "Macabre" (in a SENTENCE, yet!). The person in question was being presented as a 'low-life' messy, non-sophisticated person, and I haven't even heard a 'sophisticated' person use that term in OVER a decade.....wow. Writers are getting really un-realistic recently. Another show, the 'good guys' were trying to apply U.S. Law to a case over in Europe. I was wondering if that eventually worked. It did, so I guess U.S. law works 'over there'...or are we being lied to by the writers? Just wondering'....http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j223/OldRUSHfan/Thinking-AHA/Thinking.gif

How did i not know this existed? It's been on You Tube for a while i guess as i was so informed by my 23 yr old... omg... this shit is hilarious. About Drunk History is a weekly, half-hour series where historical reenactments by A-list talent are presented by inebriated storytellers. DescriptionDrunk History is a weekly, half-hour series where historical reenactments by A-list talent are presented by inebriated storytellers. Based on the award-winning and wildly popular web series, the show follows the drunken and often incoherent narration of our nation's history. Host Derek Waters, along with an ever-changing cast of great actors and comedians, travels from town to town across the country, presenting the rich history that every city in this land, both great and small, has to offer. Booze helps bring out the truth of our nation's history. It's just that sometimes that truth involves hitting on airport bar janitors or eating cheese fries at 4 a.m. And that's the thing i love about this show - the reenactments are what make it so funny. here's a short clip ya'll can check out. Take a look at how Patty Hearst(Kristen Wiig) was kidnapped and brainwashed by the Symbionese Liberation Army. http://on.cc.com/QDxxPN
