  1. Camera Eye, Witch Hunt, Vital Signs..
  2. Honestly, a lot of people complain about this but I first got into Rush before I even knew what a forum was and before I knew how to talk with other fans, so I just listened, and I never had any problem with the lyrics. Then I got on here and people complain left and right. Have any of you watched Beyond the Lighted Stage? Geddy was having to try hard to fit Neil's lyrics back on at least Beneath, Between, and Behind. He doesn't write lyrics, he writes poetry which then has to be fit into music. Something that doesn't sound natural to you isn't "shoehorned". You can't say how they wrote it. It's just not what you would have done. Goodness some people will complain about anything.
  3. I'm getting a headache... My favorite headache!
  4. I'm considering it a number one. Not sure why the fan packs don't count.. They include the album exactly like it would be in stores.. so not counting it is ridiculous.

(I kid, I kid) That's just a tiny bit west in Alabama, haha. Us Georgians are classy rednecks. And everybody is somebody in Snellville. (Formerly known by the much classier name of New London, no idea why they changed it). to a fellow Metro Atlantan! I'm in Snellville as well! About to move to Grayson actually. Heading to the show in November? I will be there! (I'm actually in Marietta, just noticed your location). Ah, I see, well glad you can make it! Also just wanted to add that she's awesome because she bought us both VIP tickets the moment the presale started.

You know, I wouldn't actually mind Tears either. To be honest, I love that song. It's such a beautiful song. Yeah...but it's NOT a concert song. At least IMO. You never know. Knowing the trio, they'd pull it off somehow. Those clever guys... After the drum solo.
  14. I'm honestly curious to know if that was Nick R. conducting with drumsticks and they just left it in because it sounds badass. Either way it rocks

I agree, I love the lyrics but I also don't dislike the music the way many seem to. It's certainly not adventurous like many of the others but I like hearing them do a straight up rock song. Wish Them Well, The Garden, and Halo Effect really hit home with me lyrically. In fact I just sent the lyrics to a friend and told him I could have written those words (if I had the skill) and he agreed. I was devastated by being infatuated with a girl over 10 years ago and even though we ended up together for a while I was always feeling like I wouldn't be able to hang onto her and sure enough she just abandoned me abruptly and I still haven't recovered. I made the same mistake of pretending she was what I wanted her to be. Those lyrics are haunting for me. Just wish her well Well, I meant the lyrics to Halo Effect but yeah, they both apply. Same here. Halo Effect has a very familiar sentiment to what I've felt before and although the song is sad, I can't help but feel angry when I listen to it because it makes me think of the betrayal I went through after setting that girl so high up in my mind. And just like the song says, my friends saw it but couldn't warn me. I just wouldn't listen to any of it because I was so blinded. Amazing how Rush always seems to hit a spot inside that no one else can really pinpoint. Yeah, this has happened to me so many times over 30 years from Subdivisions to Mission to The Pass to Everyday Glory to Faithless and many, many others right up to and including the new album. I swear it's almost like they're writing many of these specifically for me even though I know others connect to them, too. It's just astonishing how often that has happened and apart from the awesome music it's why I'll never have the same connection to another band. Neil is so good at taking the personal and specific and making it universally applicable. People always think I connect everything to Rush because I love them so much... what they don't get is that I love them so much because I can connect them to everything.

  17. Alright. All of you who got the leak and said you would buy it on the release date, let's see the proof! http://i1259.photobucket.com/albums/ii548/GilbertKitchens/IMG_2146.jpg
  18. Ugh.. I can't choose! (Although I suppose that is still a choose) I LOVE Clockwork Angels but the three 90's albums easily beat the other two so... Not sure where to vote. CA > T4E, CP, RTB > VT, S&A

    Bernie Grundman

I guess some people HAVE to complain.
  20. QUOTE (EmotionDetector @ Jun 12 2012, 08:21 AM) Depends on who you ask. Many here disliked S&A, and loved VT. Others disliked VT, but loved S&A. For me, yeah...I love S&A, and I'm loving CA...so yes, I certainly hope to see a third album coming up (and hopefully sooner than 5 years). Let's hope they don't pull a Tool..
  21. Me and my girlfriend will be getting it tomorrow afternoon at Best Buy after I get off work. No Rush
  22. QUOTE (Kelly D @ Jun 9 2012, 05:05 PM) To those of you SQUARES who think that a trilogy has to have three parts, you clearly aren't familiar with "Gangster of Boats" This
