  1. I think someone mentioned "Life in two dimensions is a mass production scheEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEME!!!" right before the solo from Grand Designs, that gets me every time too And Mystic Rhythms where Ged goes "Capture my thoughts, caAARRRRYYYY them away" is the same. Such a great album, Power Windows....
  2. I love One Little Victory, nice to see it get the recognition it needs. I wish it didn't suffer from the poor recording (like all of VT... ). It's also the first live Rush song I ever heard.
  3. Was there really any other possibility?
  4. Thanks CMWriter, summer_sky, and HowItIs, I think I'm gonna start with Travelling Music first *heads over to amazon*
  5. QUOTE (Nate2112 @ Jan 30 2011, 05:48 PM) QUOTE (galt @ Jan 29 2011, 10:59 PM) Emotion detector would have topped my list. I started a thread on it a few days ago. The review on this site promoted my thoughts on the song.... http://rushmusicreviews.com/2011/01/rush-power-windows/ welcome to the forum! Please change your sig, that's ridiculous.
  6. Question: I haven't got any of Neil's books but I'd like to change that, do you think this one would make sense to read first? Or should I start at the beginning?
  7. QUOTE (ColdFireYYZ @ Jan 29 2011, 05:24 PM) QUOTE (slappa_da_bass @ Jan 29 2011, 12:35 PM) OP, if you like jazz fusion and progressive rock/metal, you should check out The Mars Volta and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez's solo work. Frances The Mute and any of the solo albums is a good place to start. I have 3 Mars Volta albums: Frances The Mute, De-Loused In The Comatorium, and Octahedron, and they are all great. At first, I didn't care for the lead singer's voice, but it grew on me. I think that's a feeling a lot of people get at first, including me. But somehow it fits the music, IMO.
  8. QUOTE (Fridge @ Jan 29 2011, 05:22 PM) You still don't get it, do you? Even if everything you posted below was correct (and I certainly can't be bothered to read all the links), it doesn't really matter. The very fact you have gone to all this trouble to stridently prove your point just makes you look silly and self-absorbed. Give it up..it's really not worth it. I couldn't give half a shit what you think. A moderator specifically made a request of me and I fulfilled it. Mind your business.
