  1. For those of you willing to have a go at reading Spanish, I just found this review of last night's show: http://www.emol.com/noticias/magazine/deta...dnoticia=441995 45 thousand saw Rush last night. Pretty impressive. Ged actually said during the concert: We have many, many, many, muchas canciones para ustedes".
  2. Awesome!!! So what was the total attendance? Cuantas personas estuvieran alla?
  3. Some of my friends have done the same trip...it's a must do!!! I wonder if he traveled from Rio to Sao Paulo the same way...it's only 500km (approx. 300 miles). I've mentioned this in the forum before, but could someone who reads this and has contact with the band PLEASE suggest Neil to do a road trip in New Zealand and write about it? I've travelled a fair bit, and it's the most beautiful place I've ever been to. I think it'll be a perfect backdrop to one of his books.
  4. QUOTE (Derxst @ Oct 14 2010, 10:19 AM) QUOTE (weezy2112 @ Oct 11 2010, 07:41 PM) Wow !! Great review. One could never tell "English" is your "third or more" language. Most eloquent and informative. THANKS !! Ditto!!! Thanks guys! I've seen a few people from Chile post here on the forum, but is there anyone from Argentina who can give us an update???
  5. QUOTE (hannuFIN @ Oct 13 2010, 01:33 PM) Ahoy Rodrigo:) What was the ticket price avarege in Brazil ? (of course it varies in every country based on salary and cost of living). Bon Jovi..makes me vomit 15000 loyal fans, not bad at all based the fact on holiday and other acts that visited the area too. How was the weather, I think that mighty RUSH played outdoors or (haven't been reading the forum for a week or so..). ps. On "Beyond The Lighted Stage", Neil and Michael riding BMWs on my local harbour 3 years ago.. The ticket price for the VIP area (where I stayed) was around US$ 300. They played in outdoor venues in Rio and Sao Paulo, and there was good weather apart from a few raindrops in Rio that didn't last for more than 5 minutes. One thing you'll notice in my photos of both shows (add me on Facebook - Rodrigo Altaf) is that they've added subtitles to the intro, intermission and outro videos. It really helped the Brazilian audience to understand and laugh about it!!!
  6. He used headphones the whole show...what's up with that? There were a few cameras, but I'm not sure if ther were there just to project the concert on the big screen or to actually film it for a DVD. I guess we'll find out in a coupla months, eh?
  7. ...are here: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=560...10&id=560364143 I took approx. 400 pictures in both concerts, and eventuallt narrowed down to the 95 you'll see on my FAcebook page. It's also worth noticing that they added subtitles to the intro, intermission and outro videos, which was quite cool. Feel free to leave a comment!!!!
  8. QUOTE (danielmclark @ Oct 13 2010, 07:19 AM) Indeed. I understand Neil was down at the site personally helping out. It was him that grabbed the first miner and helped him out of the hole. Geddy and Alex were behind him chanting "go new guy, go!" There was actually a story of miners being rescued and getting tickets to a concert afterwards. Some 5 or 6 guys were trapped in a mine in Tasmania 4 years ago more or less, and one of them said "I have to get out of here before xxxx date, because I have tickets to see the Foo Fighters in Sydney". Not only did Dave Grohl give them front row seats, but he also wrote a song (The Ballad of the Beaconsfield Miners) on their next album. How cool was that???
  9. QUOTE (wrekinboy @ Oct 13 2010, 07:00 AM) They should find out if any of the rescued miners are rock music fans and invite them to the show, VIP treatment etc. That would be awesome!!!!
  10. QUOTE (Duck @ Oct 11 2010, 09:59 PM) Great pics! Wonder if Geddy's throat was bugging him. maybe the air was cold. He has a scarf around it in the encore. That was on the 2nd set in Rio...it started raining a little bit, hence the scarf. I got some pictures too on my Facebook page, feel free to add me and/or have a look at them (Rodrigo Altaf).
  11. QUOTE (Snow-Dog2112 @ Oct 11 2010, 03:00 PM) its called a house setlist Oh, ok...didnt know that. It makes sense...
  12. 13. QUOTE (marblesmike @ Oct 11 2010, 12:26 PM) You people discuss and debate some of the most insignificant nuances of the band's history and performances. Unreal. Why does Geddy sing "YEAHHHHHHHHHH" and the end of phrases in many songs live??? OMG. So why does he say YEAH at the end of phrases in many songs live????
  14. Don't disappoint me, Between the Beers!!! I'm counting on you!!!
  15. QUOTE (cygnify @ Oct 11 2010, 10:43 AM) QUOTE (RodrigoAltaf @ Oct 11 2010, 09:30 AM) Both concerts were filmed, but there was no mention from Geddy about it. In the US, they've always had a couple cameras up front and a couple at the board for the rear screen videos. Were there more cameras than that? (camera on a crane, some on stage, etc.??) No, that was about it...
  16. QUOTE (DigitalMan75 @ Oct 11 2010, 10:13 AM) Do you really think, Rodrigo? I really don't know nothing about the Chilean crowds but I think the hottest crows are the Brazilian and Argentinian. Greets from Peru! We'll find out in a couple of days. Do you know any good news websites from Argentina and Chile?
  17. Both concerts were filmed, but there was no mention from Geddy about it. The Rio crowd was quite disappointing this time (quantity wise). The tickets were too expensive, the advertising for these shows was not that great, plus we had Bon Jovi a few days earlier and the SWU festival during the same weekend, with Rage Against the Machine, Dave Mathews Band, Kings of Leon, Sublime, The Mars Volta, Queens of the Stone Age and a bunch of other bands. In the middle of La Villa in Rio, someone threw a shirt of the Brazilian football team on stage, and Alex hung it on his mic. The crowd went nuts!!!!
