  1. QUOTE (sanzo @ Dec 31 2010, 11:53 PM) Maybe next year we will be higher, but get more people to go to the show dont just bump the ticket prices ! I hardly seen any ads for them other bands through the year, Bet going to rush was a far better experience they should do a list of the bands that goes without support and has the longest set btw look at cher, 1 city and 40 shows? where was that anyway 10 mins to newyear GTG I suspect Cher may have had a Vegas residency
  2. The bare facts are this: Rush came up as the 26th highest grossing live act in North America, and 40th worldwide, for 2010. Total gross of $26.2 million, with 372,407 tickets sold at an average of $70.94 per ticket over 36 shows. An average gross per show of $754,808. Here's the link to the stats: http://www.pollstarpro.com/files/Charts201...ericanTours.pdf http://www.pollstarpro.com/files/Charts201...oncertTours.pdf Now discuss away to your heart's content. At least the arguments re ticket pricing etc can be backed up with figures. But remember, as Benjamin Disraeli once said, there are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics. Have fun. Play nice
  3. QUOTE (Queen of Megadon @ Dec 7 2010, 06:03 PM) I had TWTWB for over a year, but then I got a new phone, and since it wasnt a TMobile dl I couldnt retrieve it. Now I dont really know where to download a new one. help? Have you tried www.audiko.net?
  4. Current general ringtone is Telephone and Rubber Band by the Penguin Cafe Orchestra. For family I have a part of the instrumental section of Xanadu (the bit where Alex repeats that time signature-shifting refrain as the bass and drums kick in).
  5. Isn't it Kennedy Street Enterprises?
  6. Have a contact on the inside who's going to set aside VIP area tickets for me at the MEN. Huzzah!
  7. QUOTE (logo5961 @ Nov 26 2010, 04:38 PM) Did not bother registering to get pre sale so waited for general release, Best available on the ticketbastard website this morning for the MEN Arena were blocks 107 & 111 right at the back of the arena. Went down to the MEN, tickets in BLOCK B (front center of the stage) were available at the box office. What are ticketbastard playing at, why don't they show these tickets on the website. How many people who could not call to the box office would have bought tickets up in the gods when better tickets were available but were not showing on the website ...and that's how they shift the crap seats!
  8. 1. Xanadu 2. Jacob's Ladder 3. Witch Hunt 4. Territories 5. Turn The Page
  9. QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Nov 26 2010, 02:07 PM) QUOTE (Jean Simmons @ Nov 26 2010, 09:04 AM) gnat's chuff I'll admit, I had to look that up. Im using this... Cross-cultural pollination. Gotta love it.
  10. Good luck with reporting those personal attacks, Finding IT. I've tried to report a number of offensive comments I've read today across the whole Time Machine Tour area (not directed at me, but to others including the wholly unpleasant Jean Simmons thread), only to be told on each occasion that there was an error and my report could not be processed. I can't speak for others but I, for one, AM Oxford-educated. Trinity College, to be exact. How about all parties wind their necks in? Enough with the mud-slinging. it's hardly a great advert for international relations, is it?
  11. QUOTE (jacob's ladder @ Nov 23 2010, 04:04 PM) Wow, I just got an email this morning & heard Rush is playing in Europe next spring!! Are tickets available & if so, are they expensive? Thanks! Anyhoo. Back to reality. Have a look around this section of the forum. Ticket price is a hot topic, heated debate, personal insults yada yada yada. By now I expect you'll have made your own decision as to whether to go for tickets and hopefully have got some online.
  12. Back in 1983, my first exposure to Rush was from cassettes imported from Saudi Arabia. The lyrics printed in the covers were, we later found, somewhat less than accurate, but compellingly realistic nonetheless: "I strip away the old Capri and find a brand new car" was the pick of the bunch. Oh, and I always heard "revelate from the norm".
  13. I know. But I've had many years of being flamed, for good reason or not
