  1. GREAT suggestion regarding the Cannon. One question: Would I need flash from the 10th and 13th row? Thanks for your time.
  2. I will be there 13th row Geddy side. Attending the 16 September show in Pittsburgh as well.
  3. A quick elbow to the correct knee-buckling spot and I think they will get the message. Don't try to be civil and deal with them because it will not work. One shot to the right spot puts 'em on the ground and you just shrug and act all innocent like when security comes by. Worked both times I used this method.
  4. I never understood why some people take so much time and effort to complain about what other people do or do not do. What do their actions have to do with you? Concentrate on yourself and let people enjoy events the way they wish to enjoy them. It is all a part of being free!
  5. Thanks for the tip one and all! Wish I would have adjusted accordingly for the Maiden show last week! They are not bad from the 13th row though. Always looking to improve!
  6. I sold my tix (2nd row Alex side)cos they left out that tune this tour.
  7. QUOTE (traeplien @ Jul 23 2010, 03:40 PM) Opening bands today cannot compare to the glory days of opening bands back in the 70's and 80's. Seems that everyone toured with everyone. true dat!
  8. "Blue Collar Man" perhaps? Styx is a very good act. I miss Dennis DeYoung - but I am a fan of Lawrence Gowan. Candlebox and MSG were decent Rush openers. Anyone here see Max Webster open for Rush. That would have been killer!!!!!!!!
  9. Was in Pittsburgh last week to see Iron Maiden. I have always wanted to see DT, and I was pleased by their performance. IMO, Iron Maiden stole the show - just fantastic. As for other opening bands - the only other opening band that I ever reallly wanted to see was Marillion. They opened for Rush during the Power Windows tour. I never understood why they never made it big in the States. It was a mesmerizing performance. The last show Rush played in Pittsburgh, I had the pleasure of talking to two guys who came over from Scotland to check out Fish (former Marillion singer) in Ohio. While they were in the USA they decided to catch Rush. Was great conversing with them.
  10. I am taking a Rush newbie to the Pittsburgh show. Last week I took a newbie to see Iron Maiden. Always good to introduce such folks to great bands.
  11. I got the intent - but was it really necessary to add yet another thread to this already lame topic? Funny or not - just let it go man...natural attrition will take over.
  12. Was it really necessary to add another post regarding a topic that has already been...well you know where I am going with this. I suppose some people just like to scream "LOOK AT ME!"
  13. Witch Hunt Vital Signs Time Stand Still Have not made it to any shows yet, but historically these are songs that have stood out for me on previous tours. Then again, IMO, any song they play live is great.
  14. QUOTE (hrmavica @ Jul 19 2010, 09:13 AM) The Amphitheatre show by a mile. Higher energy Open air venue Fewer technical snafus The ACC show had goofballs singing along to the instrumental portions of EVERY song. Even during the friggin guitar solos! I am all for singing your bloody guts out when there are discernable lyrics, but this whole "ooooooo-oooooo-eeeeee-aaaaaa" nonsense is ridiculous. Yeah duud - never go to Rio and by alll means avoid an Iron Maiden show - it happens all night. Bunch of loser Maiden fans...
  15. Let's Face It ... The First Set Sucks... The title of the thread alone is what initially caught my eye. If the OP believed the opening set sucked - that is cool. However, the word "let's" is assuming that there is a common agreement that it does suck. I would have ignored the entire post if it had the title - In my opinion... An opinion is much different than a statement of fact.
  16. Between the Iron Maiden Forum and this forum, I have had my fill of setlist complaining. One of my favorite quotes comes from the movie "Desert Saints." It goes something like this: "When it comes to matters of opinion, debate is pointless. There is no accounting for individual taste." I am with danielmclark on this one; as long as they are on stage performing, I am a happy soul. "It is hard to say what's right about it before you say what's wrong about it." ~ NP
  17. The OP really leaves himself open for more criticism then said concert. One could start with the "really drunk" comment and go from there. However, I will pass this by and simply shake my head and laugh. That is all the post is worth.
  18. QUOTE (RUSHHEAD666 @ Jul 12 2010, 06:26 PM) QUOTE (drgrendel @ Jul 12 2010, 03:21 PM) then the millionair babies better get the f*k on that covered stage and play the goddamn set. Stage was not covered. Next... That's "Billion Dollar Babies!" Signed, Alice Cooper Vincent was awesome last summer at Clearfield Fair.

  20. QUOTE (FootballYouBet @ Jul 12 2010, 12:30 PM) QUOTE (drgrendel @ Jul 12 2010, 11:06 AM) From Stub Hub We guarantee for all orders confirmed by the seller and all instant eDelivery orders: You'll get your tickets in time for the event They'll be authentic and valid for entry They'll be as good as or better than the ones you ordered - or your money back You'll be refunded if the event is cancelled and not rescheduled Next... Stub Hub a secondary market ticket broker and is not the official ticket agent for Rush, therefore Rush is not subject to any guarantees made by StubHub. Exactly! What funds one spends on getting to the event and what funds are spent at the event itself should not be the responsibility of the band nor the promoter of the event. "Roll the Bones" fades in...

  22. Last indoor Rush show I attended was Continental Airline Arena in NJ for T4E- it was sold out. The second leg of that tour saw them outdoors at PNC in NJ - was a better show for some reason. Will see them in the new arena in Pitt on 16 September and then 18 September in DC. I will pay attention to note any differences. I prefer the outdoor shows for some reason. Last indoor show was AC/DC in Buffalo. Wonder what they would have like to see outdoors?
