  1. QUOTE (treeduck @ Dec 19 2010, 03:53 PM) QUOTE (usb_connector @ Dec 18 2010, 09:18 AM) I know that the only seats left on the first floor are side stage in Montreal. Other than that, there's like 1 VIP seat left, only side stage on the second floor and then it's just really bad seats on the 3rd and 4th floors. So basically, all of the worthwhile seats are gone. So according to this map which are the crap seats you were on about? What I've blacked out is sold (ignore remaining outlines of colour). The light grays are also on sale. Dark gray is not in use. So essentially, only seats with an obstructed view (it's printed on the tickets) are left in red and green, and rows F-Z left in the VIP section. So unless you're willing to go VIP, only crap seats left. PS. I'm using the official map for the concert from evenko (the Bell Centre ticket seller) http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/3703/40950974.png
  2. Xanadu (although unlikely) Test for Echo Vapor Trail kthxbai
  3. Ok, so I know my account has been around for a while, but I originally made it so I could view a topic with supposed "leaked lyrics for Caravan/BU2B". I haven't really taken an interest to posting in the forums until recently with the 2011 tour. I got into rush thanks to Guitar Hero and Rock Band. YYZ got my attention in GH2 and then when Moving Pictures came out on Rock Band, not only did I proceed to listening to a ton of their songs, but I also went out and bought a drum kit to play Tom Sawyer, Roll the Bones and Lakeside Park. I've been a Rush fan ever since and I'm still drumming to Rush songs (much more than the original three). Aside from being a huge Rush fan, I'm also one of the biggest Trekkies you'll ever meet. So yeah...hi!
  4. I'm kinda happy they aren't playing these. I could only imagine how bad it would be with Geddy trying to hit the super high notes of Xanadu.
  5. It would be awesome if they replaced Faithless with Test for Echo, and I really hope they leave 2112 alone, that song is amazing at concerts.
  6. QUOTE (metaldad @ Dec 19 2010, 12:33 PM) Every arena has tix the day of the show, real good ones at that Yep, you can get them from the scalpers at the front doors.
  7. Great work on these. Still, I think some of the earlier ranks have HUGE gaps and could have something in between, but this is probably some of the most original/creative stuff done with ranks that I've seen on all of the forums I've been on.
  8. Well...I'd have to say that my resolution would be to take a step back from Rush and have a look at other rock bands. For the last year and a half I've only been listening to Rush and I've only been learning/playing Rush songs on drums. I even bought a cheap electric guitar just to learn Tom Sawyer and Limelight (minus the solos )
  9. Didn't really like the album. The only songs I enjoyed were Far Cry and Workin them Angels.
  10. Vapor Trail followed by Secret Touch. The drums in the former are just great to be swept away in, especially the chorus and I get chills from Secret Touch listening to "You can never break the chain"
  11. To me, EVERY song is the best on the album. They're all just so awesome.
  12. Tough one......but 2112 is why I bought the album in the first place.
  13. It would be a tie for me between moving pictures, 2112 and vapor trails...but MP alwauys gets first by just a tad when I have to pick one.
  14. QUOTE (krlowe @ Dec 18 2010, 10:08 PM) QUOTE (D3strukt @ Dec 18 2010, 06:50 PM) I just got some sound files from someone claiming to be at the TMT Rehersals (not the final one at Albuquerque.) I have Hemispheres: Prelude, Analog Kid, and Show Don't Tell. All are probably in Drop D, as far as I can tell. The damn thing sounds like it was recorded in a tin can. I should say, that anyone wanting Geddy to sing Hemispheres really should just keep it a pot dream, as it is horrible. (only the vocals, not the instruments.) Post them! Please!!! He just confirmed that those are, in fact, just rehersals from the counterparts tour with the pitch messed up.
  15. We accept what Geddy said in the interviews about not being comfortable with higher pitched songs and move on.
  16. The Temples of Xanadu Presentation of Radio Mystic Tom Sawyer in the Limelight

  18. It seems this thread has just become an excuse to trash Rush songs poeple don't like.
  19. QUOTE (circumstantial tree @ Jul 8 2008, 12:26 PM) 2112 ----> The priests, a man, and a guitar That's actually pretty awesome. My turn: Subdivisions -> Neil's first shot at vocals Leave that thing alone -> 21st century travelling music (I say this as a compliment, I love listening to this song while I'm travelling) Force Ten -> Tough Times (I thought that's what it was originally called) The majority of the Snakes and Arrows album -> Half baked song <insert number>
  20. Hold the Red Star proudly high in hand.
  21. QUOTE (CrimsonE @ Dec 15 2010, 03:02 AM) As was noted by several previous threads, the price of concert tickets for top tier acts, and even second tier acts has gone through the roof. Supply and demand has really taken over, whereas in previous years, the bands could hold down ticket prices. I'm sure part of it is due to the effective monopoly TicketMaster has over the concert industry, but a lot of it is due to the rising costs and the drying up of albums/CDs as true revenue streams for bands. Plus, its a way to reap some of the profits that used to go to scalpers. But unlike many of the so-called top tier acts, Rush is undoubtedly worth it. And if you're economical like me, you'll find ways to save money. Since I'm not a front row type of person anyway, I'll usually get the 2nd tier pricing at best (lower bowl or upper pavillion for the sheds). I refuse to pay arena/shed prices for food, so I'll eat a good meal beforehand, and then sneak in a snack or two for the show. I also rarely buy concert T-shirts at the venue anymore, as those are always overpriced. In fact, I think the last Rush short I got at the show was for the T4E tour. Even with Rush, I'm not sure how much they're charging elsewhere but in Montreal they're still not charging the same as "top tier" acts. The best seats in the house (after the 320$ VIP package) are 150$. That's crazy cheap compared to the 300-400$ other artists charge for great seats (like Bon Jovi or Celine Dion). The worst part is that their acts aren't as long and don't have anywhere near the quality the Time Machine Tour does. So as long as the quality stays the same, I'm always going to line up for a great Rush ticket unless they pass by again for the Time Machine tour, I won't pay big money to see the same show for a third time.
  22. Come and join the Brotherhood, Of man.
  23. I can't find the article anywhere, but I remember reading on IGN.com that Catwoman might be making an appearance and that the Riddler would NOT be in the movie. If I find the articlle I'll post it.
