  1. Come on, SOMEONE must've misheard "an air of joie de vivre" in Force Ten. I remember playing that part over and over trying to figure out what Ged was saying. I kept telling myself, "It's gotta be something in the English language!" -an heir of jwah de me -anne air of jwah de me I had no clue.
  2. Interesting that you guys thought this show was better than the one at Jones Beach. I was also at both, and I thought the Jones Beach show was better. This is probably only because it was the first show on the tour that I saw, and the 2nd time around I just knew what to expect. I could've sworn that there were several errors with both the venue and the boys' playing. Aside from Alex's mishap where he needed to switch guitars mid-song (I could've sworn it was during Closer to the Heart), the monitors on either side of the stage seemed to go on and off unintentionally, and I'm fairly certain Geddy screwed up a lyric in Caravan (or was it BU2B ) My section was pretty unforgiving too, I had a bunch of screaming drunken idiots yelling in my ear all night . Anyways, I have no right to just point out the errors; the show was outstanding. There's something about just watching my favorite band play live that just makes me happy. During Red Barchetta, my favorite song ever, I got that warm fuzzy feeling that could never be replicated by the studio version. Or maybe that was from all the grass around me
  3. I'm really enjoying this thread, and much respect for putting all this time into it. I happen to agree with you for the vast majority of your rankings so far, because I'm just one of those Rush fans who actually really likes HYF and doesn't like most of Rush (album). However, I do disagree with your placement of BS&M, New World Man, and Finding My Way. Not too much to say except I really like those songs. Butttt I'm very impressed at how you put Resist so low; I'm in love with the Rush In Rio version, but I can't listen to the studio version. It sounds so incredible in its simplest form, not when it's heavily overdone like it is on T4E.
  4. Underrated: The Body Electric. This is my favorite song off GUP, and I don't really see too much praise of it. At first, I wasn't too into the lyrics, but I think I've learned to like them. The riff during the 1-0-0-1 parts is my favorite part. Overrated: Leave That Thing Alone. I find this song really annoying. I find it drags on way too long, and it just sounds like straight up elevator music.
  5. QUOTE (Some Half-Forgotten Stranger @ Jun 1 2010, 07:51 PM)QUOTE (Show Don't Tell @ Jun 1 2010, 04:54 PM) Starting at the one o'clock position, we have: Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Locke, Hurley, Sun, Jin, Desmond, Sayid, Frank, Ben, and Vincent. http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/7458/caravanbu2bsinglecov.jpg The real meaning of "The Symbols". LOST But seriously, I refuse to believe anything Rush does in their songs or in album art is purposeless. They picked those symbols for a reason.
