  1. Opening at work tomorrow. Oh and watching the Penguins kick the Senators ass again
  2. QUOTE (Necromancer @ Jun 10 2007, 04:06 PM) QUOTE (-D-RocK- @ Jun 10 2007, 03:56 PM) Who cares!! What about Wonder Woman!!!!? Is Linda Carter going to reprise her role? But last I heard, she was in negotiations to play Hippolyta, the Queen of the Amazons and mother of Diana. That would be sweet. Has the Wonder Woman movie stalled? I haven't heard anything in quite awhile. I know that Josh Whedon is supposed to do it, but that's about all. Boy am i out of the comic loop lately. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wonder_Woman_%28film%29 And no. Whedon's no longer doing the film.
  3. And people wonder why I support selective breeding...
  4. QUOTE (Larks @ Jun 4 2007, 11:23 AM) What do you think of the song? The worst off the album. The distorted vocals I find to be pointless. I still can't realize why they went into the "Dance of Eternity" style instrumental break in the song. Oh wait... nevermind. It's Dream Theater... that's what they do when they run out of ideas...
  5. QUOTE (Atomic.Feedback! @ Jun 2 2007, 09:46 PM) The thing about the messy lips makes it look a lot like makeup... which the Joker doesn't wear. Which brings up the question... how are they going to do his origin? Chemical vats, the Red Hood and all that? I don't even think they're going to do an origin from what I've heard. I kinda prefer it that way as it adds a bit of mysteriousness to the character. QUOTE Looks this Joker is going to be more modeled off Nicholson though. No it isn't. It's going to be as far away from Nicholson as possible.
  6. QUOTE (ReRushed @ May 31 2007, 03:33 PM) QUOTE (Atomic.Feedback! @ May 31 2007, 03:46 PM) QUOTE (Signals1982 @ May 30 2007, 05:04 PM) He definitely looks like he is going to be more sadistic than goofy. Sweet!! We can only hope... I read that Heath Ledger is going to play the Joker along the lines of Alex from A Clockwork Orange. Exactly. It seems that they're finally taking the character in the direction he's meant to be portrayed in. Face it, even when the Joker was first introduced back in 1940, he was a sadistic madman. Then the comics code came into effect and he became a laughing prankster. This is the version of the character we've seen on film so far. It wasn't until the 70's that he was brought back into that sadistic madman front. Unfortunately, with the portrayals by Ceasar Romero and Jack Nicholson, we haven't seen the character in his true light on screen yet... From everything I've read, the greatest villain in comic book history is finally in good hands. http://photos.imageevent.com/batmanonfilm/bofimagesbofimages/thejoker_HL_close-up1.jpg
  7. QUOTE (Batman @ May 22 2007, 05:39 AM) This one is shaping up to be great. I heard (I think from our Movie Expert Jack Thread) the Suit being redone into a something more flexible then the rigid armor. Not sure about that. Though I do know the suit will be redone. I think it occurs about half-way through the film, actually. Two new stills online. A way of showing us the Joker without really "showing" him. http://photos.imageevent.com/batmanonfilm/bofimagesbofimages/tdk_usatoday_2.jpg http://photos.imageevent.com/batmanonfilm/bofimagesbofimages/joker_mask_tdk.jpg
  8. Surprised nobody replied. I can't wait for this movie. EDIT: The "I Believe in Harvey Dent" and "I Believe in Harvey Dent Too" sites = genius. http://photos.imageevent.com/batmanonfilm/bofimagesbofimages/heath_joker_ibelieveinharveydenttoo_2.jpg
  9. Um... did Venom even have a point to this movie, or did they throw the character in there for the sake of pleasing fanboys just to have venom in the move? Decent flick at best. Overrated film in an overrated trilogy.
  10. Lets see... Kamelot - Ghost Opera (promo) Symphony X - Paradise Lost (promo) Sonata Arctica - Unia (promo) Slavior - Slavior.
  11. QUOTE (RushRevisited @ Jan 3 2007, 11:58 AM) QUOTE (kazzman @ Jan 3 2007, 11:35 AM) QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Jan 3 2007, 07:49 AM) Moderator note: Let's watch the racial slurs, folks. I don't care if you are quoting a movie, it's still unacceptable and not allowed on this forum. Thanks bunches! If somebody doesn't like the word, then that's their problem. Wrong. If someone insists they need to use the word they can leave and use it elsewhere.

I'm not trying to start anything with you, Kazz, but I just can't believe you said that. Oh well. Sorry for not being politically correct like society tells me to be. It's only a word that people take out of context more than they should. Again, if somebody has a problem with it, then it's their problem and they need to learn how to deal with it.

  14. Rented it last night. Turned it off halfway through the movie. The only comedy that I really laughed at that was made in the last 10 years that wasn't a Mel Brooks film was Borat.
  15. QUOTE (Sonilink @ Jan 2 2007, 04:07 PM) I just realised he also dirrected some of Sin City, I didn't know that Yeah the Dwight/Jackie Boy scene. From the first viewing of that scene has Tarantino written all over it. I can't wait for Grindhouse either...
  16. True Romance Even though he didn't direct it, it's still a Tarantino film. Plus, it's got one of the greatest scenes in motion picture history. "Sicilians were spawned by [Offensive Word]" (Moderator edit-offensive content.)
  17. Just got my tickets today to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra on December 4th.
  18. QUOTE (Cygnus @ Aug 25 2006, 09:40 AM) http://www.hollywood.com/news/detail/id/3543691 Phillippe Lands Two-Face Role? By WENN| Wednesday, August 16, 2006 Ryan Phillippe is set to take over from Tommy Lee Jones after reportedly landing the role of Harvey Dent/Two-Face in the upcoming Batman Begins sequel. Reese Witherspoon's husband will join Heath Ledger, who has signed on to play The Joker, and new Batman Christian Bale in The Dark Knight. Crash star Phillippe beat Liev Schreiber and Josh Lucas to the role of the scheming district attorney, played by Jones in 1995 movie Batman Forever, according to Internet reports. Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman have also joined the Batman cast, while fellow Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman is in talks to play The Penguin in the new film. Hasn't been officially announced yet. Take it with a grain of salt until confirmed.
  19. This movie's got "Cult Classic" written all over it...
  20. Almost walked out of Pulse last night but I figured I'd better get my $8 out of it...
  21. QUOTE (Moonraker @ Aug 14 2006, 01:29 AM) 10/08 - Kamelot (possibly, if my coworker is up for this) DO IT! DO IT! If I could, I'd fly out to go with ya.
  22. Took my girl to go see Pulse tonight. They should have marketed the film as a comedy instead of a thriller. We spent the whole time laughing at the stupidity of the film.
