  1. Yes, his real hair. LOL He does resemeble a miniature geddy in a way. Vocally, he has the range which is rare to hear. Thanks for the compliments about Jacobs Ladder. That is one of the toughest songs with all the time signature changes and we do that one very well. Again, thank you for taking the time to watch AND to actually reply with comments.
  2. Thanks again. This show was a short one for us, so we only had time to perform 1 set. What's missing from the 2nd set you ask? Natural Science, Countdown, The Camera Eye, Vital Signs, Red Barchetta, Digital Man, New World Man, Far Cry, Working Man, Entre Nous, Between The Wheels, La Villa Strangiato, The Enemy Within, Ghost of a Chance, Animate, Cinderalla Man, YYZ, Dreamline, Closer to the Heartm, Bravado, Making Memories I am the goofy looking guy on keyboards (and acoustic guitar). :)
  3. We used the acoustic version of In the End as a medley intro which went into Fly by Night/In the Mood. We'll probably scratch that idea and do In the End into Making Memories Thanks for watching
  4. Hello Rush Fans, Just thought I would share my bands youtube page. Take a listen and give some feedback if you like. www.youtube.com/distantsignalspgh
  5. Would it be possible to create a section for people to post videos or discuss Rush Tributes bands? I posted videos in "Making Modern Music" and it seems people read the threads but don't respond. Maybe if we had our own section it might be better??? Just a thought. I would be interested in seeing it and would definitely use it to promote my Rush Tribute band :)
  6. Subdivisions hands down. That opening F# low bassy/synth sound is bad ass

Don't miss this event.
  11. QUOTE (GernTheFish @ Oct 10 2012, 12:39 PM) No one from Pittsburgh should be allowed in the Cleveland show. Why? Pittsburgh loves Rush just as much as Cleveland. Does Cleveland have a Rush Tribute band?
  12. Well if you decide to make it to the show, my Rush Tribute band will be playing the night before on October 27th at a place called 21 Lounge which is a 5 minute walk from Quickens Loan Arena.
  13. Anyone going to the Cleveland show? Check this out and show some support please http://www.therushforum.com/index.php?showtopic=78083
  14. My Rush band plays The Body Electric. And The Enemy Within, Distant Early Warning, Afterimage and Between The Wheels also
  15. QUOTE (USB Connector @ Jul 27 2012, 10:15 PM) I would skip this tour. You would miss out
  16. QUOTE (rushlady23 @ Jul 28 2012, 07:22 AM) I would attend this show if it were closer We have talked about making a road trip to Baltimore
  17. We use to do Red Sector A 2 years ago. Different members back then as opposed to now, but we can bring it back. Never attemped The Weapon or Kid Gloves. I'm sure The Weapon will make it eventually and we might as well learn Freeze to complete the Fear Trilogy. Losing It is one of my all time favs, but that one will be a tough one to pull off.
  18. LOVE the synth era. From Perm Waves all the way up to Roll The Bones, with the strongest in the mid to late 80's After Roll The Bones, the synth died Some examples that I love: Grand Designs Prime Mover Second Nature Chemistry The Body Electric Between The Wheels Countdown Mission Marathon Jacobs Ladder I play keys in a Rush tribute band so I do love this era, and we focus on this synth era
  19. QUOTE (losingit2k @ Jul 24 2012, 05:03 PM) That would be Awesome, just change the Set list You dont want to start strong and go weaker, just the opposite! Set 1: Grace Under Pressure Signals Set 2: Permanent Waves Moving Pictures I'm curious, what songs did you leave out? The omitted songs are: The Weapon Losing It Red Sector A Kid Gloves Just don't have enough time to learn them, and well Losing It will be next to impossible to recreate, but we'll give it a shot at some point
  20. Thanks to those who took the time to reply
  21. Hey Rush Fans, What do you think about this "concept album" setlist/show? I put this together for my Rush tribute band and think we might showcase it for one of our "pre-show" events before Rush comes to Pittsburgh or Cleveland. I call it Clockwork 80's 4 albums, in their entirety (almost), from the 80's Set 1 Permanent Waves - 1980 Moving Pictures - 1981 Set 2 Signals - 1982 * Grace Under Pressure - 1984 * * 2 songs omitted from Signals and from P/G
  22. Those are all good lists so far, but keep in mind this has NOTHING to do with CA or the tour. This is YOUR wish list and it can be ANY song from ANY album
