But it already exists in the games forum. GOAR, maybe you should just repost your original question in the thread in the link Jack supplied. Rush game players are more likely to see it there. Ghost of a Rider has a new name!!! GOAR!!!! And I thought I was good at giving people names... I think I prefer Ghost of a Rider to GOAR. It sounds like a Vulcan ritual. Yeah, but I can't be bothered to type GOAR........see what I mean??? LOL signed CAM

  5. QUOTE (Brutal Truth @ Mar 14 2005, 10:48 PM) I cry at the drop of a hat, at most anything...but the only movie that consistently kills me is 'Field Of Dreams'. I suppose the fact that my father died when I was 11 (30 years ago this year), may have something to do with it. Some people have a downer on Kevin Costner, but in that film he plays it just right and the emotion cranks up at the right time. When I need a good weep, I always watch that movie... OMG yeah. Playin catch with his dad. http://fool.exler.ru/sm/cry2.gif

  8. "Yeah man, Labrador, my dog ate my stash." ~ one of the Cheech and Chong masters From Stakeout Emilio Esteves says to Dreyfuss as they play a game of What Movie Is This From, "This is not a boating accident"
  9. Yeah. For me The Stand and Dolores Claiborne, were good adaptations. The one that dissappointed me the most tho was Needful Things. The plot in the book was undo-able as a movie. Too many sub plots.
  10. QUOTE (Alsgalpal @ Mar 11 2005, 06:02 PM) Armageddon, where the girls dad is saying good bye to her... There are many.... Oh yeah. That gets me too. Bruce Willis saying goodbye to Liv Tyler. I'm no man. http://fool.exler.ru/sm/cry2.gif

  12. We all talk about about great films and moments, but how about the moments that actually induce you to well up. You know the moments, when us guys usually cough firmly and feel our collars and say "gosh, it's warm in here". For me the ultimate is Al Pacino on the steps of the opera house in Palermo holding his dead daughter, Mary, in his arms, and he pulls off the most incredible piece of acting I have ever seen, the 15 second silent scream just before the massive intake of breath for the real scream. Of course this is from Godfather III. I don't care who sees me cry at that bit. Also, there is an older sci-fi film called "Silent Running", about spaceships which have the plant and animal life to repair the earth after nuclear holocaust. There is one guy left alive, I think he is Bradford Dillman, and 3 robots he calls Huey, Duey and Louis. Right at the end he jettisons the last dome with a forest in with the one remaining working droid, and then self destructs the ship with the damaged droid and himself on board. (If you were wondering why, it's because he had orders to blow all the domes up and he couldn't do it.)
  13. I love this film. I was already a James Cameron fan anyway. I was blown away by his attention to the set detail. I do believe he even went as far as to buy paint from the original manufacturers to get exactly the right colour. The cutlery, plates, ornaments, carpets...everything, was as it was on the original.

  22. An man was touring Spain. One evening, after a long day of sightseeing, he stopped at a local restaurant. While sipping his sangria he noticed a sizzling, scrumptious looking platter being served at the next table. Not only did it look good, the smell was wonderful. He asked the waiter, "What is that you just served?" The waiter replied, "Ah senor, you have excellent taste! Those are Bull's testicles from the bull fight this afternoon. A delicacy!" The man, though momentarily daunted when he learned the origin of the dish said, "What the heck, I'm on vacation! Bring me an order!" The waiter replied, "I am so sorry, senor. There are only six servings per day since there are only six bull fights. They sell out very quickly. If you come early tomorrow and place your order, we will be sure to serve you this delicacy". The next morning, the man returned, placed his order and later that evening was served the only remaining special delicacy of the day. After a few bites, and inspecting the contents of his platter, he called to the waiter and said, "These are much, much smaller than the ones I saw you serve yesterday." The waiter promptly replied, "Si, senor. Sometimes the bull wins."
  23. Yup. He is my choice for Bond. As a fan of the books and the films, I feel he would fit the character fantastically and still bring another new edge to 007.
  24. I remember the original Captain Pugwash too. It ran for some time on the BBC and then got pulled. Turns out that the BBC missed out on the fact that two characters in it were called Master Bates and Seaman Staines.
