  1. QUOTE (shaun3701 @ Jul 25 2010, 06:47 PM) I hope they film this tour, unless they're going to repeat the whole Moving Pictures thing again next year. Having MP performed in its entirety is just too epic not to film. Exactly... I would pay anything to have " Camera Eye " from this tour, on DVD....
  2. I'm surprised that to this point, there's been no reference as to whether or not the boys will film this tour for a DVD release. I certainly hope so... but imagine the challenge is that they'll be on tour NEXT summer as well, and likely don't want to release 2 concert DVD's in succession. Too bad, as this is one tour that I'd love to have on DVD.
  3. I'd love a Gefilter shirt, and a Rash one too... I'll have my eyes open for anything findable online...
  4. QUOTE (tick @ Jul 24 2010, 09:02 PM) The funniest part for me was in the closing video when Geddy says, "slappin the bass." agree 100%
  5. QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Jul 22 2010, 12:07 PM) QUOTE (tick @ Jul 22 2010, 09:16 AM) QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Jul 21 2010, 03:08 PM) QUOTE (Phantom @ Jul 21 2010, 01:55 PM) I've seen tons of video of the opening video, but none of the closing video.. Anyone found it online? **********SPOILER********** Is that the "I Love You,Man" video? I've seen it on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3uXmEUKgmY8 Thanks for that! I missed it at the show. Very funny, and oh so appropriate to follow-up "I Love You, Man" with the characters going to a Rush show -- the actors make a cameo at a Rush concert instead of the band making a cameo in the movie. I know. It's brilliant.. and hysterical. Geddy's " Slappin' da bass " had me howling...
  6. I'm looking to pick up a " Rash " shirt... that Geddy wears onstage.... Anyone found a place online to buy one?

  8. QUOTE (mong82191 @ Jul 20 2010, 09:10 PM) I'm with Phantom, especially that pyro during Marathon scared the shit outta me and TCE was just spot-on and Alex was on fire. LVS was also very kickass. Exactly... I was blown away by both of those things, in both of those songs... And in truth, for me, Neil's best work of the evening was during Marathon... I literally felt my jaw drop as he powered through the mid section of the song. Gave me chills...
  9. QUOTE (cygnus_thegodofbalance @ Jul 20 2010, 11:28 AM) QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Jul 19 2010, 11:23 PM) The past several shows I've been to, I've noticed how PROMPT they are. They start right on time! Also, the intermissions last fifteen minutes and they begin their second sets on time, too! Something must have gone wrong at the Molson show, than. For one, they didn't start until 7:50, and on top of that, the intermission was a good 25 minutes. The Molson show always starts late. Entrance into the venue is horrible... maybe the worst of any venue I've seen them in. Lineup to get in stretches a lifetime, and barely moves. They hold back the opening of the show until at least most of the fans have struggled their way to their seats. Air Canada Centre ticket said 8 pm, and they started at 8. I love that.
  10. First set.. Marathon Second set.. Camera Eye
  11. Interesting... I saw both Toronto shows too. After Tuesday nights concert, I left it feeling like the first set wasn't all that great. During the Saturday show, I found the first set to be phenomenal. I attribute it to the fact that I went on my own to the Tuesday show, and on Saturday, I went with a buddy who is a HUGE fan. That enthusiasm was contagious. I still think the second set is superior to the first, but on Saturday, they seemed pretty close to me. Marathon was a highlight. Neil nailed it on Sat night.
  12. QUOTE (moedrabowsky @ Jul 18 2010, 10:27 PM) QUOTE (Phantom @ Jul 18 2010, 10:25 PM) I was on Alex's side and yeah... he looked upset. In fact, at one point, I was wondering if they were going to simply stop playing YYZ and fix the problem. That bad, huh? Something is rotten in Denmark, because every show on this tour he's had some kind of issue. Yeah, it was awful... YYZ got progressively worse and when it ended, I'd hoped " Well at least THAT'S over and done with ". When Limelight started, and the guitar was cutting in and out, the thought occured to me that they're just going to stop... take 30 seconds, and fix the problem. As it turned out, they plowed through the problems but Alex can not be happy with the ongoing probs.

  14. QUOTE (EmotionDetector @ Jul 18 2010, 10:20 PM) ACC The atmosphere was off the charts. ACC by a landslide for me. Atmosphere was intense, and the guys seemed to have a bit more energy on Sat night. That said, the guitar issues that Alex suffered through, and Neil's technical glitches at the start of yyz took a bit away from what was otherwise an amazing experience. Marathon and Camera Eye blew me away......
  15. I've heard rumors of problems with his hands. Alex does talk about some finger probs a bit in the Rio documentary, but nothing major. Saw him playing the other night, and he looked just fine to me.
  16. QUOTE (Jake2112 @ Jun 27 2010, 04:22 PM) QUOTE (Phantom @ Jun 27 2010, 10:13 AM) I thought I'd read recently that Neil would be using the Snakes and Arrows kit for this tour. He did use the S&A kit on the Caravan/BU2B recording if that's what you're thinking of? That could be. I definitely recall seeing the snakes and arrows kit being used in studio, but still was somehow under the impression that the kit would also be used on tour. We'll know very shortly !
  17. 5 pm Eastern time?? Before the opening show?
  18. I don't recall for sure, but it strikes me that on the opening night of Snakes and Arrows, didn't someone post here... song by song, as the setlist unfolded? I'm assuming we'll see the same thing on Tuesday night?
  19. Found this while having a look around Rush's site.. http://www.rush.com/roadpics/Time_Machine_on_the_Road.html

  21. QUOTE (subdivisions man @ Jun 17 2010, 09:04 PM) I noticed that one of the videos had the words "for sale" in it. The only song I can think of that has those words is Superconductor. i suspect that's an image that will be up during either spirit of radio ( echos with the sound of salesmen ", or more likely, from bu2b ( " buying what we're sold "
  22. At the 3:56 mark of Caravan, I'm hearing a bit of the ending of La Villa.... Love it !
  23. I keep thinking, that Rush can't possibly keep cranking out great material, but inevitably, they do. Clearly, the guys are unparraleled. Dare I say, the greatest rock band ever? Literally
  24. Love hearing this from Ged: Frontman Geddy Lee tells Rolling Stone the fresh tracks are "upbeat, hard rocking songs" with a Rush trademark: "typically absurdist arrangements." http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/;kw=[24942,129715]
  25. I'm stunned. I'd hoped for it, but didn't care think that it might actually happen. It's one of my all-time favorite tunes from Rush. If it's true, this should be one helluva show.
