  1. Well the good news is, it sounds like they're planning on filming this tour. I really hope it happens.
  2. I'd love to have this entire show on DVD. As for bonus feature, I know exactly what I'd wish for: There are tons of Rush tunes on their previous DVD's on which I'd like to see specific band members playing specific parts, but the film doesn't focus on the individual player. For example, during the medley at the beginning of R30, there are some GREAT drum parts that Neil is playing where I want to watch him, but I can't because the camera is either on Ged or Alex. I'd LOVE it if there were special features or a bonus DVD, where you could select any one of the three band members, and watch them specifically and entirely. I know that on Neil's Anatomy of a Drum Solo, there is an option to watch him and him alone playing " Subdivisions ". The camera(s) are on him for the entire song. It's absolutely amazing.
  3. it's odd... doesn't seem that anyone has definitively been able to confirm, one way or the other, whether or not red rocks was filmed for dvd. i imagine we'll find out eventually.
  4. QUOTE (nobodys hero @ Aug 13 2010, 12:43 AM) I've known about this since May, the RR show on 8/18 will be filmed. Why am I spilling the beans now?...I think someone overheard me tell my friend today. I don't know anything about the 16th being filmed, but I was told by the promoter that the 18th would be filmed. It would make sense they would use both days but a friend who works at RR told me they would be taking down all their equipment after the show on the 16th and setting it all up again on the 18th. Look for me in the crowd...I'll be the one wearing the Rush shirt! was it filmed?
  5. Courtesy of rushisaband.... Latest rumors are the Red Rocks will not be filmed tonight but that Columbus show might be the one to be filmed. http://www.rushisaband.com As long as they film this leg, for DVD release, I'm a happy camper.
  6. QUOTE (nobodys hero @ Aug 17 2010, 03:12 AM) Wow, what a GREAT show. Ged & Alex were playing to the crowd and loving it. Geddy was kind enough to send out t-shirts for me and my kids during Neil's solo. Then my hubby caught one when they threw them into the audience. Can't wait until Wednesday Any more word about whether or not Wednesday's show will be taped for DVD release?
  7. Any official word from anyone, anywhere, that they are indeed filming this show, or shows?
  8. I didn't pick up on that, as much as I had a sense that they are having more fun now than at any point in their career
  9. Certainly hope that it's true, and that it will be released on DVD in time for the holidays.... Hearing ( and seeing ) The Camera Eye live will be a dream come true.
  10. QUOTE (Cyberdude @ Aug 14 2010, 09:41 AM) Last night in Irvine I believe I recall hearing Roundabout by YES. I picked up on that too... and Zeppelin as well
  11. It was a helluva show... my third one on this tour. ( Saw both gigs in Toronto ) I thought the sound last night was the best I'd heard yet... drums sounded incredible. Only other glitch I noticed was on the video screens. Once during the first set, when letters started popping up all over the screen, and during the second set, ( witch hunt I believe ) when the screens just seemed completely smeared.... Other than that, the boys were in fine form. I did notice that during the break between sets, there was a crew of about 5 or 6 guys gathered around Neil's kit.... looking kind of concerned. I didn't notice any problems tho...
  12. I'm secretly hoping that they play " Permanent Waves " in it's entirety next summer.
  13. I prefer the intimacy of an indoor event....
  14. I suspect the Rio and Sao Paulo fans will go absolutely nuts. I'd love to see a DVD of the Sao Paulo show.... 60,000 - 80,000 plus fans?
  15. QUOTE (nobodys hero @ Jul 27 2010, 11:51 PM) They are taping this tour This leg? That would be very cool ! 26 shows left in north america, and 2 in south america. I hope we hear something about it soon!
  16. QUOTE (EmotionDetector @ Jul 28 2010, 02:48 PM) They were selling them with all of the other official gear in Toronto, including at RushCon. Thought of getting one myself...maybe when they hit the Backstage Club. You know, it was odd. I saw Rash shirts at the ACC show, but they were in a dedicated space, BESIDE the official merchanise booth. I wonder what that was all about?
  17. QUOTE (Mara @ Jul 26 2010, 08:32 AM) I will say this: if the SA crowd gets "Jacob's Ladder" after we got stiffed on it, I will be beyond jealous! Can't see them adding Jacob's Ladder for South America, but if they did, as long as it's filmed for DVD release, I'm okay.
  18. QUOTE (rocketom @ Jul 25 2010, 08:02 PM) It's possible they might do what Journey did. Record a dvd and put it in with the new cd next year. If they dont film one of these shows, I'm Kicking someones Ass. Film this tour, and include it with the CD release next year of Clockwork Angels? I love that idea.
  19. QUOTE (shaun3701 @ Jul 25 2010, 06:47 PM) I hope they film this tour, unless they're going to repeat the whole Moving Pictures thing again next year. Having MP performed in its entirety is just too epic not to film. Exactly... I would pay anything to have " Camera Eye " from this tour, on DVD....
  20. I'm surprised that to this point, there's been no reference as to whether or not the boys will film this tour for a DVD release. I certainly hope so... but imagine the challenge is that they'll be on tour NEXT summer as well, and likely don't want to release 2 concert DVD's in succession. Too bad, as this is one tour that I'd love to have on DVD.
  21. I'd love a Gefilter shirt, and a Rash one too... I'll have my eyes open for anything findable online...
  22. QUOTE (tick @ Jul 24 2010, 09:02 PM) The funniest part for me was in the closing video when Geddy says, "slappin the bass." agree 100%
