  1. but maybe he felt that he could finally retire, and pass it on to John Blake. had to impress him that John actually figured out who he was. also, maybe he wanted to go away for Selina. for them both to live a normal life. away from their pasts. there was nothing good for them in Gotham. just bad memories.
  2. QUOTE (Tony R @ Jul 23 2012, 01:45 PM) So this is basically a non-story as it says nothing. Pointless. i had Carnies in the title, and the admins changed it. i didn't mention it in my post, so i just had to go back and edit. jesus..
  3. sorry. i don't read every single item posted on here. was just sharing what i read in the magazine this week.
  4. well, unless they change at last minute. Alex confirms that Carnies will be played live, along with older tracks accompanied by strings. read about it in the new Guitar World magazine. string tracks speculations?
  5. QUOTE (hughes&kettner @ Jul 23 2012, 08:40 AM) Does anyone know wtf bane says when the guy who was trying to own the wayne empire asks bane: what are you? Bane says I'm gotham's --------...... What the hell does he say. It's in the trailer, saw that a millin times. No idea what he says. And...that movie was great. I will see it again. pretty sure he says "reckoning".
  6. QUOTE (alphseeker @ Jul 21 2012, 11:47 PM) 8.5 out of ten - Liked it very much - However, it Could have easily been done without cat-woman and it would have been a darker, better movie, she killed the suspense on more than one occasion with her one liners - but, if you pay attention to the end, she served a greater purpose. i really enjoyed her story line. and her one-liners kept it light when, at times, was very dark. i thought it was strange how they never named Holly Robinson, Selina's friend/assistant.
  7. QUOTE (Enemy Within 77 @ Jul 22 2012, 12:07 AM) QUOTE (Sheldon Cooper @ Jul 21 2012, 10:51 AM) Raymond Patricia Heaton = 'nuff said agreed. although Debra is the typical bitchy wife, i love her. and yeah, she's hot. i commend her for being open about her plastic surgery.
  8. the only thing i didn't like was... SPOILER!!!!!... the Bane/Talia connection. was a little weird. but, i knew she was talia. knew it from her accent. was a nice inclusion, though.
  9. ELR is one of my most favorite shows. i seriously can't stand Marie, though. she annoys me to no end. some of my favorite episodes are P. T. & A. , Halloween Candy, Boob Job, Marie's Sculpture, Angry Sex, and The Power Of No.
  10. f*ck assh*les with guns, i've went twice in the past 24 hours. you people shouldn't let it effect your decision to go see the film, either. anyways... the movie was really good. Bane was cool, but i didn't dig the storyline with him very much. loved Catwoman. i was happy that Anne's performance wasn't similar to Michelle's, as Batman Returns is my favorite of the Batman films. i was extremely pleased with the ending. wrapped it up very nicely.
  11. i'm so excited to see this. 1. John C. Reilly is one of my favorite actors. 2. i love the Pixar films. 3. I'm a nerd, and can't wait to see all of the other video game references.
  12. a former boss called me a mix of Daria and April from Parks and Rec. not too far off love this show so much. have the box set
  13. i love the part where he is petting the cat, with a creepy look on his face. was interesting to hear about his son, but then i felt bad, like i was invading his privacy. strange feeling about that. the part that showed alex's personality the best was when he was walking around in his robe and goes "has anyone seen my brush? it's brown. it's got bristles on it." i died!
  14. hubby and i were listened to Snakes and Arrows today in the car, and i used to have mixed feelings on this album. i think it's because i got burned out on most of the songs after the tours that went with it, and the live dvd. but now i have to say, i really love this album. to me, it sounds perfect. it is mixed so well, geddy's vocals sound great, and all of the guys are on the top of their game. sure, there's a few songs i dislike (WTA, TWTWB, and TLB mostly), but all in all, this album is really great. i have been enjoying Clockwork Angels a lot, have it on constantly in my car right now. but now that i gave S&A another listen, i have to say, CA is kind of a let down. don't get me wrong, it's good. i just don't feel that it has that full, complete sound that S&A does. i'm just going to blame the mix, since at times it sounds kind of, idk, muffled or something. idk, i'm not a sound expert, i just now what sounds good to my ears. also, S&A is quite heavy, very metal sound to it. being a metal fan, i enjoy that. so when Caravan and BU2B came out, i was super pumped. then when Headlong Flight was released, holy sh!t i was blown away! but then when i heard the entire album, i was kind of bummed. i thought it was going to be super heavy on every track. so, to me, that was a let down. yeah so, this thread has no point. just ranting to my Rush pals! thoughts?
  15. QUOTE (treeduck @ Jul 3 2012, 01:01 AM) QUOTE (liddybuck01 @ Jul 2 2012, 11:39 PM) dropped by to let you all know about a free podcast on iTunes by Kevin Smith called Fat Man on Batman. he did one interview with Tara Strong, who does a voice on your beloved show. she discusses it towards the end. What about you, you mean you aren't into these rubber cartoon ponies? never watched it. i usually can be found watching hgtv, and that's about it.
  16. QUOTE (Union 5-3992 @ Jul 3 2012, 12:56 AM) I'm amazed by Tara's body of work outside of MLP. Such a massive history. i had no idea all of the work she's done. let's see, there's... little mermaid, fairly oddparents, ben 10, rugrats, MLP, hello kitty, batgirl, and now she's harley quinn in the video games. there's others, too. i just can't remember them all. she must be raking in the dough.

  18. glad to see some other people who cringe at the thought of watching anything created by macfarlane. can't stand him. all of his shows are the same jokes, over and over again. one trick pony. his popularity has to be directly related to the IQ levels of people in the US.
  19. QUOTE (Steevo @ Jul 2 2012, 04:35 PM) QUOTE (liddybuck01 @ Jul 3 2012, 09:33 AM)kind of unfair, since everyone is on a CA high right now. Not everyone is. right. i'm not. like, i'm enjoying it, but i'm not all "OMG ITS THE BEST EVRERRRRRRR!!1!!" it's good. not great. i dig about half of the tracks. definitely not better than VT, maybe about as equal as S&A.
  20. kind of unfair, since everyone is on a CA high right now. let's ask this again in a year and see the response. anywho... for me, VT. it's my 2nd favorite album.
