  1. QUOTE (hulkhogan @ Sep 25 2012, 09:46 AM) I've got the funk right now, after the St. Louis show. It also happened in 2007 when I saw them. I guess it's a pretty regular thing. Agreed in full, my wife though now gets it which is good, the first time she thought I was crazy!
  2. QUOTE (glennb2112 @ Sep 25 2012, 09:03 AM) damn i cant believe the tickets are still avaliable. I would be there in a second..but no passport . Come on Canadian Rush fans!! I'm a bit surprised too! Prime seats, from one fan to another at face value! I'm still going, but my son is coming with me and I snagged a prime pair beside the stage which I thought would be better for him to see. There is still time fellow fanatics, let me know!!
  3. Hi everyone, I have an extra pair of tickets for Wednesday's show, $250 total for the pair. 3rd row floor right in front of Alex. Let me know if you or anyone you know is interested! I'd prefer that they go to a fan first rather than to someone who is going to annoy everyone around them by making 2 or 3 beer runs in each set!
  4. This tour will be shows 6, 7 and 8 and only twice have I gone with someone else, so 6 times solo. You do what you need to do!
  5. QUOTE (jymyben @ Sep 22 2012, 11:36 AM) been with rush since 73 when the first record came out... got to finally see them in 81, and havent missed a tour since... this is my favorite rush setlist of all the yrs i have seen them... why? because it isnt full of the same songs i have been hearing live since 81, it is a fresh set, with lots of deep cuts... i think i would have been given the middle finger more if i went to a show with the same ole same ole set, heavy on moving pictures/permanent waves era songs... the songs are fresh, the lightening/screen images are fresh and even neil has a new drum solo for this tour... i have seen two shows on the tour, and everyone i went to the shows with, or hooked up with after loved the current setlist... rush is evolving and breaking out of the mold... too bad many of their fans are unable to do the same... peace I've seen a fraction of the tours that you have, but I agree completely!
  6. QUOTE (trenken @ Sep 20 2012, 07:12 PM) I would imagine its extremely difficult to sell 1 ticket, no matter where you try to sell it at. Not a lot of people looking to go to concerts alone. Did you try stub hub? That site is so popular, one of the most popular ticket sites on the internet, there's a chance that someone with seats next to yours might want to grab an extra ticket for a friend. Slim chance but figured I would suggest it. I know, I'm a bit of an exception that way! My wife came with me once but she doesn't care to go again. This time I'm taking my son with me to Winnipeg but my trip to Toronto is solo so I've been buying single seats. On the one hand it's nice because sometimes I luck into a really nice seat by only looking for one, but if I am trying to sell it can be tough....all in all it evens out and I always meet someone new at each show so that's an added bonus!
  7. I know, cruel and unusual punishment according to many around here! Hey, to each their own, I love the setlist and am looking forward to some tunes I've never heard live before! BTW the ticket is still available so let me know if you or someone you know is interested!
  8. I would MUCH rather sell it to someone here first, I've been helped out in the past and would like to return the favor, so let me know if you or anyone you know are interested!
  9. First let me say that everyone is entitled to their opinion, good or bad, and I can respect that. That being said, and I know there's a bit a lot of opinion expressed so far, but here is mine.... When I say that I'm "geographically isolated" I mean that I live in an area where Rush hasn't generally played a lot in the past 20+ years. I'm in Manitoba, about 2 hours west of Winnipeg. The boys played there in October of 1982, when I was 8 years old (and my parents weren't into this kind of music so it's not like i could have gone with them). The next time? May 24, 2008 (and no Lakeside Park!), almost 26 years later!! I'm very pleasantly surprised that they're coming back to Winnipeg in a few weeks. My point however, is that after the Signals tour they've been to my province twice in 30 years. The closest cities they've played other than Winnipeg have been Minneapolis (a 10 hour drive) or Calgary (another 10 hour drive). I'm still a relatively young guy, so between being a teenager, university and then starting a family, time and/or finances (flights, hotels, food, etc.) have always made it next to impossible for me to travel to see the boys. I envy the check out of those fans who live in an area where you can see multiple shows with less driving involved than me going to Minneapolis or Calgary to see one show! I finally had to reach a point where I had to splurge and travel to see more shows, or risk time running out. Can I afford it? Can I afford not to do it? its a choice I've made, and I don't regret it for a second. I have memories that will last a lifetime, and I will make the money back eventually. Sorry for rambling on, but my point is that for me personally, I don't care what they play. After 25 years of waiting I'll take what ever I get, and I'll be beyond thrilled to do it.
  10. Hi everyone, due to a chain of events I have a single ticket available for the October 16 show in Toronto. Section 109, Row 23 which is a great view beside the stage, my cost through Ticketmaster was $163.25 and of course that's all I'm asking. I've got the ticket now, it's ready to go, so please message me if interested, or pass this along to anyone that you think may be interested, thanks!
  11. Tickets for Winnipeg finally arrived today!!!!
  12. That's what I'm hoping too....it's not that I'm worried, but it's my 12 year old son's first show and he's going crazy waiting for the tickets!!
  13. I thought the crowd was great there. I had been to the Winnipeg show the night before and thought that the guys had more energy in Regina. Winnipeg crowds can be very hit or miss, I've seen both ends of the spectrum!
  14. That's what I saw too and that's what got me thinking about going. Did you go to Regina in 2008?
  15. Has anyone received tickets for Winnipeg yet? I finally got the email this week, how long typically for them to arrive at a Canadian address once they've been shipped?
  16. QUOTE (bootlegguy @ Aug 26 2012, 12:32 AM) On sept 7th I will definetly be hitting refresh on setlist.fm that night. For some bands I'm okay with surprises, but for this one I HAVE to know. If the selection of non-CA songs is awesome enough I'll have to upgrade my Edmonton tickets and/or get tickets for the Saskatoon show too. (Of course I have to assume that the crowd wouldn't be that great there) I was thinking about trying to make the Saskatoon show....are the crowds typically not that into concerts there, not a great atmosphere?
  17. Hi everyone, I have a single ticket (hard copy, in hand) for the October 14 show available, Section 118 Row 25. Of course only asking what I paid for it, which was $150 through Ticketmaster. Thanks! Chris
  18. Just checked and we're still at 7!
  19. It won't let you draft with an odd number of teams, so its been moved to 10 CST tonight (Saturday, Sept 10).
  20. For our wedding in two weeks, my groomsmen (my two sons, ages 7 and 10) and I are making our entrance to "Limelight". I wanted to work Rush in there somehow, convinced my wife to be, and she picked that song so I went with it!
  21. Headed out to the show right away, if interested please text me at 204-761-6879!
