  1. Here's my machine... http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa90/ozzy85/oysterrunweekend-03.jpg Maybe we need to start an official biker thread?
  2. Eat water buffalo? Sure, why not? I've had elk, moose, and bear.
  3. QUOTE (Hatchetaxe&saw @ Sep 19 2008, 06:12 AM) Titanic (for wasting 3 hours of my life) I can't believe I sat through all of it, in a theater, no less. My back was in screaming pain from sitting in that shitty little seat. Wish I had brought in some whiskey to make it more tolerable and dull the pain.
  4. No kidding. What's the Will Smith movie where he's left behind in a city with a disease outbreak? His dog and only friend got infected in a fight and he had to choke out the poor critter to keep himself from getting bit... Harsh.
  5. QUOTE (-D-RocK- @ Sep 18 2008, 02:07 PM) Toss up between Apocalypse and Platoon. Funny! I had a hard choice on the same two, but I went with Apocalypse. It's absolutely epic. I do remember liking Platoon, but I haven't seen it in a long time. I think I'll track down a copy. Thanks.
  6. QUOTE (Alsgalpal @ Sep 17 2008, 11:30 PM) My car was fixed today, I still might ride my bike to work tho... Yeah, my truck tends to stay parked a lot this time of year, too.
  7. Biking can be a total kinda Zen thing. I took a trip to Ross Lake w/ some friends a couple weekends ago. One of them is a female rider, which has my wife considering doing the same thing. I have some pics maybe I'll post if they came out OK. From a Vespa to an 1100? Hmmm... how about trying out an old used bike first to see if you like it? It's easy to find a standard Japanes bike in good mechanical shape for cheap. A guy I know is getting into biking and picked up a GS 450 for $650. That way, if you don't like the idea of a bigger bike, no financial loss. If you drop it, the same. Just my $.02.
  8. QUOTE (workingcinderellaman @ Sep 9 2008, 06:31 PM) Rolling Vengeance I would be surprised if anyone saw this. Excerpts There's nothing more scary than a monster truck trying to run you down. Have you seen Duel? 1971 movie with Dennis Weaver, trying to keep from getting ran down by some ancient semi.
  9. QUOTE (tick @ Jul 7 2008, 07:02 AM) todays tickoscope... Never hurt someone just to make yourself feel good. Indeed. Gotta agree with this one. Wish more people would do the same.
  10. QUOTE (hunter @ Sep 6 2008, 11:44 AM) The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou Although I don't think it's all that bad. Yeah, that one's a screwball. I liked it better after a couple of viewings.
  11. I LOVED it back then! It's still likable now (to me) as simple entertainment, nothing more. I like the new movie, too. I was in junior high/high school then and a total gearhead. Spurred my interest in musclecars into high gear. I had a Road Runner like Daisy Duke's for awhile ( a 1973.) Someone up here has one of the actual cars that survived the show.
  12. Will you just take it easy, Walter?
  13. QUOTE (Sark @ Sep 5 2008, 05:43 AM) Once Upon is a great one. I'd have to go with The Good the Bad & the Ugly for it's triple threat showdown. Same here. I have the soundtrack and love it.
  14. Michael Beck! I had to look that one up for myself. Big difference from being a gang leader... Speaking of the Warriors... another great B-movie. I have the movie, game and a t-shirt.
  15. QUOTE (circumstantial tree @ Sep 3 2008, 03:17 PM) Xanadu (1980) Good Lord!
  16. I don't know if it's really a "bad" movie, "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka." It makes fun of '70's Blaxploitation movies. Fun stuff. Thinking about Isaac Hayes in it now makes me miss him. The first Jackass movie is good white-trash humor at it's best moments, just plain gross at worst. The first part where they rent a car and enter it in a demo derby is classic! Then they return the car to the rental agency... "...Uhhhh, I hit a dog..."
  17. I'm gonna have to check this out... Yeah, TBL is a strange one. It took a couple of viewings for me to "get it", but sometimes that's cool when you have a movie (or album by a band) that has a kind of hidden charm. I think I just mentioned recently in another thread that the Coen's are considering a movie as a sideline story based on the Jesus Quintana. Not really a prequel or a sequel. I like my idea of a "Holy Trilogy" of movies based on these characters. Anyone else here a Dudeist priest?

  19. None too good here. About 26 years of being a fan and only two concerts =13... I'm kinda sporadic when it comes to concerts.
  20. QUOTE (Storm Shadow @ Aug 27 2008, 01:43 PM) Braindead/Dead Alive Strange Brew Monster Squad and hell yes @ Big Trouble in Little China. A few other Carpenter sequels could be fun too...like Dark Star, The Thing, and They Live! Strange Brew! Ha! Never thought of that one. Might be a lot of fun. Would they finally have their own place or still be living with the folks? What would they be drivng in place of the old GMC van? I've heard of a possible sequel/ side story of the Big Lebowski, focusing more on Jesus Quintana. Done right, a "Holy Trilogy" of Lebowski movies might be cool.
  21. QUOTE (Tortoise and Hare @ Aug 11 2008, 07:53 PM) Floyd!!!! No contest . . . not even a fair comparison!!! Floyd's contribution and influence has been MONUMENTAL!!! Hare My thoughts exactly. I never really got into Yes all that much.
  22. Yeah, I've heard that one before! I used to have a car like his, too. I don't worry about getting a haircut for a job. They'll either like me or not.
  23. Just found out about Los Lonely Boys... good stuff! My wife had a CD stashed away that I found.
  24. A recent pic from last week... http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa90/ozzy85/OurHoneymoon-16.jpg OK for a middle-aged guy...
  25. QUOTE (fledgehog @ Aug 23 2008, 12:01 AM) treeduck beats us all... http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/4596/dirtyshoesux1.jpg http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/4192/roughlookrb6.jpg http://www.therushforum.com/index.php?show...ndpost&p=610486 I'd swear that's Ted Nugent around 1975 or so...
